Minhya looked at the aftermath of the explosion, which had left a gaping hole in the sand that was completely blackened, as though the sand had fully turned into glass. Steam came steadily out of the region, as the heat there was still far too much for the water.
Though slowly, it calmed down, and the waves returned to the shore, the ocean water filling the hole. When the waves drew back, they left a large pond on the shore. As Minhya looked around, she saw several such holes.
"These were all him?" she asked.
"All of them. Yes," Ning answered.
She looked back toward the enormous cloud of dust that still hung high in the air.
"And he can do that anytime he wants?" she asked again.
Ning couldn't help but laugh at her disbelief. "Yes. He did it deliberately."
Jun'Tal returned to them, still rubbing his head slightly.
Ning looked toward the destroyed section of coastline before nodding with approval. "That was probably the largest explosion you've created on purpose so far."
