(Michelle Lui's POV)
Tuesday mornings used to feel ordinary.
Today?
My pulse started racing the second I opened my eyes.
I got ready earlier than usual — not because I was excited, obviously (okay maybe slightly), but because I didn't want to look like someone who spent last night rereading Steven's "See you in the morning" message like a deranged penguin.
I stared at my reflection one last time:
Cream sweater.
Soft waves.
Light makeup.
Warm scarf since December air loved assaulting faces.
Cute but not too cute.
Ugh.
"Get yourself together," I muttered.
I failed.
Matt, my driver, greeted me politely as I entered the car.
"Good morning, Miss Lui."
"Morning, Matt."
He glanced at me through the rearview mirror. "You seem cheerful today."
I covered my face with my scarf.
"No, I don't."
"You do," he said calmly, turning onto the main road.
Traitor.

University A was already buzzing when I arrived.
