At first, Eliott paid little attention to the rumors surrounding Alex.
Why should he?
Every morning, he woke with her beside him, and every evening her smile was enough to make the exhaustion of the day disappear. Work was still demanding, the movie was approaching fast, and RoyalStar needed more of his time than usual, but having Alex around made everything feel lighter.
Lately, however, she hadn't been around much.
For several days, she had been leaving early and returning late, often too tired to do more than kiss him goodnight. Eliott noticed, but he chose not to ask. Alex had spent too much of her life having people invade her choices. He trusted her to come to him if something was wrong.
That didn't mean he liked the distance.
So when they finally found one rare evening to sit together and watch a movie, he had no intention of letting work ruin it.
