Side Chapter: The Prideful Demon Lord That Fell In Love and the Broken Summoned Hero (XXX).
SHINGGGG!
Avery immediately threw herself behind a massive ice pillar. The icicles struck the pillar, shattering it into countless fragments.
"Avery-san!" (Haruki) shouted.
"I'm okay! I'm still alive thankfully!"
"Get it away from the center!"
Avery glanced toward him. She noticed the golden energy gathering around his staff.
"Got it!" She rushed out from behind the broken pillar. "HEY! YOU OVERGROWN FROZEN NOODLE!"
The serpent turned toward her.
"COME AND GET ME!"
It lunged.
Avery jumped onto its head, grabbed one of its horns, and used her momentum to swing herself onto its back.
The serpent roared.
Avery held on as it thrashed violently.
"HARUKI! NOW!"
Haruki thrust his staff forward.
"[Divine Overdrive] — [Radiant Impact]!"
A brilliant golden wave shot across the cavern. It struck the serpent's exposed underside.
KABOOOOOOOOOM!
