Mrs. Shen had not stopped stressing since the mention of the lab. "What does my small lab have that you would go through all this?"
Beichen chuckled. "You're too humble, Vice President Shen...especially with Nikita Petrov working in your lab like a dog. He is, after all, on the National Intelligence Agency's most wanted list for illegally selling bioweapons to guerrilla warlords."
"I'm not sure what you are talking about, Your Highness," stated Mrs. Shen, feigning ignorance.
Beichen grinned and shook his head. "Oh, but you do."
Then he waved his hand for Assistant Wen, who came over with some bodyguards.
Mrs. Shen looked over and gasped at what they were rolling out on a long display case.
"....That's the Swans' Crystals."
"These will be yours after Petrov develops a drug for me."
Beichen was staring at Mrs. Shen like they were at the end of a chess game, and he was waiting for her to make that one move that would guarantee his win.
