Chapter 27 - Tribe of Swirling Wind

Inside the hut, after the gang had their fill and the Datu then started asking some question. "Well first of all, welcome to our small tribe, the Tribe of Swirling Wind, and I'm the Datu of the Winds, Storm that brings the winds."

The group finally know the name of the place, Tribe of Swirlinh Winds, and the Datu of the Winds, what a weird name to have.

Kristin doesn't know what to say so Alex took over, "It's... a honor to be in your presence, Datu of the Winds, I am Alex Winter, and these are my friends," Alex introduce himself and motioned for others too.

"Kristine Felines, sir."

"Elijah Melton."

"Joana Marie."

"Charlotte Godvern"

"Leslie Florette."

Storm nodded, "Hmm... those names doesn't sound familiar, could you possibly from the main lands outside this island?" Storm asked.

"Main land?" Alex answered in confusion, 'so this place is an island, I see.' "I'm afraid I am not sure, Datu, the last thing we remember is that we were traveling when a blinding light came out of no where," Alex said half lying "Anything beyond that is so fuzzy and unrecognizable".

Datu Storm looked at them straight in the eye, seeing if there's any inconsistency in Alex's story, after seeing their gazes didn't waver, Storm took their story as the truth, "Well, if that's the case, you can stay here until you regain your strength,"

Alex and the others nodded and expressed their gratitude. "Well if you have anymore questions, just ask gale," The Datu said while calling a guard to see them out.

As soon as Alex's group left, one of the elders suddenly spoke, "Is it really wise to let magic wielders to stay at our tribe?"

Storm then turned around and answered the Elder's question, "Elder Wing That Rides The Winds, I believe that it is wise to let those young people stay, especially since they are magic wielders, they could help us fend of the other tribes while taking back our territory."

"I agree, they could help us get our lost territory from the Tribe of Raging Fire," A female elder agreed.

Datu Storm nodded, "All those in favor say I."

The other elders agreed to let Alex's group to stay and so the meeting is adjourned.

-Outside with Alex's Group-

As they are crossing the bridge directly connected to the hut they were given, they could see Gale arguing with a guard, "Why do I have to take care of them, that's so unfair!"

"The Datu's words are absolute, if you have any problem with that, go talk to him about it," The guard retorted.

"Hmmp!" Gale turn her back against the guard and the guard is visibly pissed off.

"You two, drop it now!" The guard with Alex's group spoke and the two immediately dropped their battering.

"Now tell me what's this all about?" The guard with Alex asked.

"Owl that Rustles the Leaves here took me from my resting place and took me here without my permission and he won't let me leave!" Gale complained,

"Owl, is that true?" The guard with Alex's group asked.

"Well... Uhh...." Owl stuttered.

"Sigh, it can't be help, but what Owl said is true, you were ordered by the Datu to take care of our visitors," The guard said.

"But Finch!" Gale was about to complain but the guard apparently called Finch stopped her.

"No buts, Datu's orders are absolute and must not be questioned, the Elders also support his decision so you have no room to argue," Finch said.

Gale is speechless, now that the Elders support the Datu's orders, there's no room for argument.

Gale could only sigh and face Alex's group, "Hello, I am Gale that Swiftly Passes, and I'll be taking care of you." She said in the most boring monotone you could ever hear.

"Well, uhh... It's nice to meet you, miss Gale, I am Alex Winter and these are my friends," Alex introduced himself once again, "I hope we can learn from each other." Alex ended with a smile.
