As the girl walked away, the goat looked at this human's back and wondered what happened, then it looked around and saw that there are fresh blood on the ground, on top of... Gray dead grass. This piqued the goat's interest and decided to follow the human girl.
The girl was non other than Leslie who just revived an animal back from the dead and was walking away happily as if she didn't just made a miracle of reviving something from the dead. She thought this was normal since this is a world of magic after all.
After walking a few minutes, Leslie spotted a fire breathing rabbits and asked the tree next to her if it could should some leaves on the rabbit and the tree shot razor sharp leaves that killed the rabbit on the spot after a leaf shot passed through the eye and out the other eye.
Leslie walked over, and bowed to the rabbit. "Please rest in peace." She said as she made a bag out of vines and the huge tree leaves. As she was storing the rabbit, she noticed that something is looking at her.
She turns around to see a failed attempt at hiding, behind her is horn sticking out behind a tree. She just sighs and continue walking on the same direction while also practicing how to command the trees more efficiently.
On her 5th rabbit 2 and a half hours later, she can't resist the following goat's staring at her and she tried to see if she could command the trees without making any motion of saying anything.
Moments later after she closed her eyes the tree vines fell down and entangled the goat which started wailing while trying to escape. "Oh wow, that was easier than I anticipated," Leslie commented.
She then turned around to confront the goat, the same goat that she revived from the dead. She approached said goat and asked, "Why are you following me? Don't you have a herd to go back to?"
The goat just stared back at her with pleading eyes. The goat then swung the vines to reach Leslie's who is just a foot away, as soon as the goat touched her hand, a telepathic message was sent to Leslie.
'Herd. Left me. Llost. Battle' the message said. Leslie looked around to see where the voice came from, and after confirming the trees it was neither them nor was there anyone around, she looked at the goat.
"You understand me?" She asked and the goat nodded in return, "Huh, I guess you have what Alex calls sentience," she thought out loud.
She then placed her hand on the goat, HTTYD style and see if the goat has more to say, and indeed it has, the goat sent more telepathic messages ranging from 'Herd. Left me' to 'Please. I. Go with. You.'
Leslie quickly retracted her hand, she received so many in just a split second that it felt her brain is going to explode. "Ok let's calm down first," She said as she backed off quite a distance, almost 3 meters from the goat, "Let's restart shall we?" She added.
"My name is Leslie Florette, and I am currently talking... To... A... Goat..." Leslie seemed to snap back at reality and finally got a hand on the situation and what she did for the past 4 hours from getting a death glare from the goat to her reviving it.
'Wait, is this all real? Am I dreaming or something? Just calm down, You're never the type to panic like this, just think, breath, and access what is happening'
Leslie broke down in front of the goat but quickly regained her composure the next instant.
'Think back as far as you can, to the point where all of this happened' she thought to herself, and she went back 3 weeks ago when all this magic stuff happened.
-3 Weeks Prior to current event-
Leslie is in her room laying on her bed staring at the ceiling. She felt bad to let her friends leave and face dangers on a world they didn't even know existed.
Yes, she also loved adventures, but not to the point that she would risk her life, unlike her friends, she is an introvert, she didn't even know how to communicate to other people besides her parents, grandparents and a few other relatives with good relationship with her.
After contemplating on the matter through the night, she finally decided that she's gonna go with them, she's still a bit hesitant but she wanted to go with her only friends outside of her family.
She packed her stuff and her camping gear and she bolted out of the house saying to her parents that she and her friends are going to camp in the forest.
