Normally, the virtual body is stronger than the god of illusion, so the virtual body should win a fight between the two of them. But thanks to the Storytelling divine ability and the suppression it created, the god of illusion will be the one to win the fight.
If Legion had gone to that city with their true body, the force restricting their power would have failed because they had the Aegis Shield divine ability. But their virtual body couldn't use the divine abilities of other pathways, so it couldn't resist this power.
The only saving grace was that the virtual body could still use the rank 10 divine abilities that originated from their innate talent. So the Environmental Adaptation divine ability and the Offensive Adaptation divine ability were able to take effect to help the virtual body.
The Environmental Adaptation divine ability made the virtual body adapt to the restrictive force and nullify its effect. So their weakened state won't last for long.
