To another person watching the god of travelers, the wall will still look intact and whole. They won't be able to see the phantom path that has created a shortcut through the wall.
This is because he is the only one who can see the phantom path. He is also the only one who can use the phantom path.
So, while to him, he used the phantom path to gain entry into the white tower, to an observer, it looked as if he had simply smashed into the wall and phased through it without harming himself or the wall.
He was able to silently enter the white tower this way. No one noticed him as he ran around the white tower, checking everything within it. He didn't stop until his curiosity was satiated.
What he saw was that every mage was groggy. Some of them were sleeping while others were still able to walk, but only slowly. The stronger they were, the more active they were, but even angels of knowledge had become slow and dumb.
