I would very much love to give my own coverage, but considering this is the latest Faction war we've got in so long I don't think I could give it justice in such a short amount of time.

Ok wow those are a lot of Yokai. Has there ever been a gathering as large as this before??? Shit, I never even knew there were so many types of Youkai until now. I mean, I knew, but seeing it is completely different.
Even with their different shapes, sizes, forms, whatever, they're oddly coordinated. Honestly didn't expect that.

Looks like we finally get to see the Pendragon Family. I know from the Peace Conference they had that they were allied with the yokai, but I wasn't expecting them to go to war with them. Just look at the armor they're wearing, its all soo shiny and cool, especially watching them walk in formation like the Knights of Old.
I guess this is them getting back to their roots.
Anyone know who the girl leading them is? I scrolled some of the posts about the Peace Conference, but I don't know who she is, y'know? It's like she just popped up out of nowhere and they all decided to follow her.

And here comes the Pendragon Family, Seeing actual Knights walking around ready for war is quite a nostalgic sight. It's been to long since I saw an actual army of Knights prepared for battle like that
And that Artoria woman truly has the bearing of a leader. If the Pendragons are looking for more blades, I would gladly offer mine into her service.
Edit: I just saw the up close and personal looks at her leadership. I don't think I was generous enough with my praise. She appeared young, but her visible youth betrays the years of experience she truly has. I will be thoroughly considering going to speak with the Pendragon family about possible retention.
Edit 2: I had several people message me, so I want to clarify. While the Pendragon family is well known among the knight communities that still thrive in this day and age, their reputation had plummeted over the centuries. However, with this newfound perspective, I can see them rising up again.

It's how they make Church sites repel 'unholy' things. Not all Churches are sanctified manually, but after a period, a Church naturally gets that 'no bad stuff' here aura after enough prayers and mass.
But seeing such a big lineup of Church Exorcists doing it? I'm honestly shocked that this happened, especially when it's to the benefit of not only Youkai, but the genuine son of Lucifer.
And isn't that the Seraph Gabriel? And did she just tackle‐hugged the saint that's been seen around Lucifer Jr?

These Siege Machines are fascinating, so is the creation of the portal. I wonder how Young Wilhelm built it faster than I predicted. My own calculations showed that it would take another several months to create a similar entrance to the notoriously finicky Faerie Lands. It's unfortunate, it appears he has quite the clever mindset and means to achieve something like this beyond my expectations. I would have loved to talk with him about the mechanics of it.

Yes. Just… fuck this plaec is weird. I can't even tell if my migraine is from the overwork or the swirling talking rainbow outside. SHIt i canT even type right, this plaec gives ya one hell of a hangover.
Edit: Guys, I'm not going to get in trouble, they don't care if we're 'on our phones' or whatever when we're on break. They're very clear that down time is important in stressful situations like this. I'm rotating back to the front in two hours, so I still have plenty of time to kill with my squad. Though I don't know how long the connection will last, I keep losing it.

Hey I was just watching some of the live footage that the cameraman was taking while the Reporter lady was away. I think it's pretty cool that they're keeping the camera running as much as possible, even if they aren't doing a full on reporter thing every second. Well, it's now the second day of the Fae Realm Invasion or something like that. My timeline isn't perfect, but I'm doing the best I can.
So what we know so far
The Yōkai got a hold of some pretty powerful siege machines. My usual connection is pretty quiet about it but it was apparently built by some magician that's in contract with the yōkai and often works together with Lucifer Jr.
As we've seen, it's powerful enough to siege a well-protected castle.
And as ever, the reputation of the Fae is very much accurate with how many different bodies from various races were recovered from the first castle they sieged. The people I know pretty much just dumped me photos and I don't think those are appropriate to share here.
Lets just say that they're bad, very bad.
Anyways; Lucifer Jr and Miss Pendragon met up with what we know as the Lady of the Lake and she provided the yōkai Faction with details about the Fae Realm.
Their forces split up with the Hyakki Yagyō and Lucifer Jr. flying off into what appears to be the horizon while the others mostly the Pendragons and the other Yōkai to stay around and assault other places.
Anyways here's some pictures I've got:

From what I'm observing they are not the ones casting the spell, but merely activating the wands they are using.
The wands seem to be etched with a spell sequence and activated. Though, I'm not quite sure what the Foci attached to them is, it seems to negate the need for the user to use their own magic to activate.
Fascinating, I'm entirely unfamiliar with the material.

They say that a lot can change in a year, but I was skeptical until now. They've had how many big hitters suddenly move into their little corner of the world? You got Lucifer Jr who has very explicitly squared up against gods. You have another goddess, a new goddess of Asgard who lives in Japan for some reason. You have Scathach, the woman who trained Cu Chulainn, and noted god killer herself. Also I heard she trained Lucifer Jr? No confirmation on that. You have Yasaka herself who was always pretty strong. There's also that purple haired woman – forgive me, my Japanese mythology isn't that good – but she's a demigod or something? And last I heard, Tiamat is squatting in Kyoto now too.
With that kind of lineup, there's no way anyone can call them 'small' anymore. And I didn't even list everyone, there's still more.

Here's another update for everyone, and I'm starting to get tired of making new threadmarks.
Other than the Yōkai being prepared for this war, with them pushing the fae back with their Siege Machines, Wands and such.
Other than that–and some disturbance in Yōkai Kyoto which has been confirmed by my sources that it shouldn't be something we should be worried about:
The war is in full swing and in the favor of the Yōkai.
But as everyone has noticed with the war broadcasting; the live coverage isn't really so live anymore.
Nonetheless we are still getting coverage as fast as possible and i just got the latest from Devil News Today
My deepest respect to Miss Angelica Lathas for braving the fae wilds for us.

Okay, so.
I just watched the unedited footage from Devil News Today and—are we all just going to pretend like it's NORMAL for a literal legendary Fae queen to crash a broadcast mid-invasion and start monologuing into a magic camera?
Because I need someone to explain to me how Vivian, the Lady of the Lake, just appeared out of nowhere during a Pendragon/Youkai frontline segment, started judging the camerawork, and then casually dropped that she hasn't been "active in the human world" lately like she just woke up from a thousand-year nap and found a GoPro.
You guys, she tried to murder the camera crew because they were Devils. Not even dramatically. Like, "Oh, guess I'll kill you now" shrug—and then vanished into mist when someone else told her not to. That's it. That's the scene. That happened. On camera. With background Knights and everything.
And this is all happening while the Pendragons are casually standing across from literal Youkai generals negotiating a ceasefire? Or planning a pincer movement? I don't even know anymore!
She just grabbed the camera like it was some shiny Fae bauble and said, "Oh wow, this shows sound AND image?"
Ma'am. That's a whole livestream being broadcast to an entire underworld dimension. That is not a trinket. That is the devils CNN.
Also—her name. She said her NAME. On camera.
Do people not realize who that is?
That's Vivian.
Like, Excalibur's Vivian. Mordred's godparent. The-forge-is-powered-by-dragon-souls Vivian.
What kind of "war coverage" includes ancient Fae royalty treating devil media tech like a magical curiosity and then wandering off because she got bored?
At this point I half-expect Merlin to show up and start live-commenting the battle in riddles. Maybe summon a dragon. Maybe critique the lighting.
10/10 most cursed and blessed broadcast of the decade. Devil News deserves a raise. And hazard pay. And possibly divine protection charms.

We've got news, folks, it's been a few days but we finally have news of Lucifer Jr.,
Apparently the huge explosion came from the illustrious Lucifer Jr. himself
How? We don't know.
My sources don't know either, just that the Explosion came from him.
Also the speculation about the Hyakki Yagyō doing something important was correct. They went on to get ships now they appear to have a number of them for their use.
They've also informed me that the Yōkai are not taking prisoners; pretty smart to be honest with the Fae being immediate bad news in any capacity. It's best not to have long interactions with them.
In other news, we've finally seen more of Raikou and Yasaka in action!
And that is probably because they've pushed quite heavily into the enemy territory. It seems like they're finalizing plans to strike at the heart of the enemy.

Isn't Raikou supposed to be a man? I mean, there's no way you can misgender her here I think. Those boobs are weapons in their own rites. Also, I say this as a woman.

'Aight new info from the broadcast! It seems that they're now fighting Giant eldritch things of what seems to be Golems.
In other news it seems that Lucifer Jr. has now joined up with the main battlefield and a new ship also joined the fray. Although this ship seems to have a… very distinct Jolly Roger.
Though from what we are seeing this seems to be the very first massive resistance the Yōkai are facing. That makes sense since they have been plowing their way to the Fae Realm.
I'm also receiving info of a Giant that could affect time is in the battlefield. Its suspected to be a god.
We are getting live coverage but it's fizzling out due to the timey-wimey bullshit involved.

It appears that the owner of Dimension Lost achieved Balance Breaker. It's very clearly a new status as the owner wielded it more like a bludgeoning tool. But, it was effective for what it was needed to do.
However, this is another aspect that can no longer be overlooked from the Youkai as a whole. They have a Longinus tiered Sacred Gear user who can achieve Balance Breaker.

It appears to not be magic. In several images you can see a faint shimmering field of energy around her. I've noted this same phenomena on young Wilhelm and another member of his entourage. Perhaps some manifestation of Touki? I admit I'm not quite an expert in Touki. However, the effects speak for themselves, her power has been raised to the next level.

Wilhelm summoned the fake dragon right before that giant flashbang hit the battlefield. You can see him gesturing with some different staff [LINK]. The croc was from Captain Hook, we think. Hook told it to chomp, and like a good swamp cat, it did.

Ok, so everyone's wondering what is actually happening due to the amount of things that happened recently in the war. So one might ask: What happened?
What happened is the War is over.
And of course it is Victory to the Yōkai Faction.
It seems that in that chaotic final battle they managed to beat the Winter Queen and take her prisoner.

I have it in good confidence that Mr. Schweinorg does not possess any Evil Pieces, besides the timing of what we now know as Captain Hook's Ship appearing seems to coincide with the large amount of magic seemingly being used for nothing.
It is possible that they used the energy to supercharge some form of advanced healing spell to heal the good Captain, but I doubt he would have been able to survive an explosion like that without being disintegrated… but perhaps he did?
There's also the possibility that they took a hold of his soul somehow and placed him into a new body? But something like this is merely theoretical in nature and would require a God of Death or the Dead.

The surge of magical energy is almost certainly linked to the apparent survival of Captain Hook. A correlation, if not causation.
My current hypothesis is that the body was perhaps recovered by the blonde woman, and the magical overcharge we witnessed was also a ritual to perhaps pull a recently deceased soul back towards a repaired body…
But that doesn't account for the repaired ship that came from above the cloud cover. I'm moving through all the footage now, and will compile a better hypothesis and share it in its own thread.

Yes. Sadly the bloodshed and violence is over, it was exquisite while it lasted. But it was a short, albeit good, war. None of that needed prolonged nonsense, just let two sides clash and decide the winner.
Though, there are certainly a great many questions that are going to be asked now. But hey, tha'ts not my job, I just get to enjoy the carnage and the aftermath.

Even the inside fits the aesthetic. So much winter themed furniture and paintings. Just ignore all the dying and bleeding Fae and it actually looks pretty decent.
Have to admit at least the Winter Queen knows how to interior decorate or she knows a really good contractor.

Got to say that dead Fae's blood really adds to the color of the room. That splash of red all over the floor and walls does give it that nice pop of color. And the dismembered head really does give the room a more rustic feel. The body could use some adjustment though, its just sprawled there all haphazardly and is ruining the color of the room with all those clashing colors

The amount of war reparations may be able to bankrupt entire magician organizations and minor pantheons as well. But I would like to bring to attention the first concession that Lady Yasaka stipulated for the Fae.
The Yokai will secede back almost all conquered territories back to the Fae of the Winter court and establish a 10 kilometer perimeter around the portal that Mr. Schweinorg opened. What that means is that the Yokai will be able to have stable access to the natural resources from the Fae lands, which have always been exceedingly difficult to get due to the dangers of travelling to the Fae lands in the first place. With that 10 kilometer area and the stable portal, the Yokai now have the monopoly of rare and highly sought after materials and resources.
