Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Magnolia

"My head hurts..."

That was Raizel's first thought upon waking up.

He struggled to sit up, his mind reeling.

"Is this a cliff? How did I get here? And why do the buildings down there look so strange?"

He reached up to touch his forehead, only to pause. "Why are my hands so dirty? And... why are they so small?"

By the light of the moon and the distant glow of the town, he examined his arms.

They were slender, covered in dust, and bruised around the wrists.

Moving them caused a dull ache to ripple through his body.

"Am I dreaming? Have I been reborn? or did I transmigrated to another world?"

He looked out over the cliff's edge.

Under the dark canopy of the sky, the houses of the town below were scattered like stars, their lights blazing brightly and illuminating the city.

Among them stood one particularly tall building, rising like a moon surrounded by stars.

A flag fluttered from its upper floors.

"That flag..." Raizel squinted. "That's the Fairy Tail flag!"

He was all too familiar with that symbol.

Slap!

Raizel slapped his thigh hard.

It stung.

This wasn't a dream.

"So, this is Magnolia? I've actually come to the world of Fairy Tail."

Earthland—a world filled with magic, where magic was an integral part of everyday life.

Here, magic was a commodity to be bought and sold, and Mages earned their living by trading their skills for rewards.

These Mages gathered in "Guilds," organizations approved by the Magic Council, to form communities.

Fairy Tail was one of the most famous among them.

Natsu, Gray, Laxus, Erza, Mirajane, Lucy—this was the world where they forged their legends.

"Please proceed to Fairy Tail to activate the Take Over Magic: Digimon Paladin Type."

Just as Raizel was lost in thought, a mechanical voice echoed in his mind.

"System?" Raizel tried to communicate with it mentally.

"Please proceed to Fairy Tail to activate the Take Over Magic: Digimon Paladin Type," the voice repeated, ignoring his query.

"'Paladin Type'... Does that mean the Royal Knights?" Raizel muttered.

As a fan of Digimon, the term "Paladin Type" immediately brought the Royal Knights to mind.

"Well, it seems I have to go to Fairy Tail to find out. At least the guild doesn't look too far from here."

There was no time to waste.

Raizel struggled to his feet and looked around for a support.

Finding nothing but loose dirt, he turned to the grove of trees behind him.

He found a small tree, snapped off a moderately thick branch using his body weight, and stripped away the leaves.

Leaning on his makeshift crutch, he began the trek toward Magnolia.

Raizel kept his eyes fixed on the guild hall in the distance, gritting his teeth against the pain.

His new body was weak; what looked like a short distance took him ages to cover.

By the time he reached the town, the lights had mostly gone out and the streets were deserted and quiet.

Fortunately, the Fairy Tail guild hall was tall enough to serve as a constant landmark.

Passing a water trough, he finally caught a glimpse of his reflection.

He looked to be about eight years old, with a narrow face and surprisingly well-defined features.

His brown hair was swept back in a slightly messy but stylish look, with a small strand of bangs falling over the right side of his face.

His large, clear eyes were bright and spirited, and his sharp eyebrows gave him a heroic air despite his youth.

"Quite handsome," he mused, turning his head side-to-side. "Much better than I looked before. But is this hairstyle natural? Think of how much money I'll save on hair gel."

He was satisfied with his looks, though his poverty was an issue—aside from his dirty clothes, he had nothing.

Finally, he arrived. Gazing up at the three-story building with its distinct red door and the wooden sign reading FAIRY TAIL, the reality of his situation truly sank in.

However, he was too late. There wasn't a single light on inside.

In his previous life, Raizel had been an ordinary person—he studied, found a job, and lived a routine life of work and home.

His only splash of color had been watching anime.

"Arrived at Fairy Tail. Magic Acquired: Digimon Royal Knights System activated. Please explore the functions on your own."

Suddenly, warmth flooded his body.

The exhaustion from the mountain trek vanished, and his physical condition improved instantly.

An image appeared in his mind: a blue data cube spinning at the apex of a mental space, with a circle of gleaming alloy armors arranged below it.

As he focused, the armors revealed themselves one by one.

"This blue cube... isn't this the Digivice toy I bought recently? Did it bring me here?"

Omegamon! Omnimon! Alphamon! Jesmon! Gankoomon!

It really was the Royal Knights.

Counting them, there were fifteen in total—the thirteen Royal Knights, plus Imperialdramon Paladin Mode and Rapidmon (Gold).

"How do I use them? Can I use all of them?"

The mechanical voice responded immediately.

"Recite 'Take Over' mentally to equip. Do the same to cancel. To switch forms, recite the name of a different Holy Knight."

"All Holy Knight forms are unlocked, but the synchronization rate depends on your magical power."

"You're quite user-friendly for a system," Raizel remarked. "Answering my question so thoroughly."

The voice did not reply.

"Take Over: Omegamon," Raizel recited in his mind.

Immediately, a rotating white magic circle appeared beneath his feet.

His left arm transformed first, taking the shape of WarGreymon's head, equipped with the Brave Shield and Dramon Sword.

His right arm followed, morphing into MetalGarurumon's head.

His perspective shifted as he grew taller, a white horn growing from his forehead, flanked by golden accents.

White Chrono Digizoid armor encased his body, and a white cape with a red underside unfurled from his back, fluttering in the wind.

Omegamon.

A Holy Knight Digimon of the Vaccine attribute and one of the Royal Knights.

An all-rounder warrior capable of adapting to any battle.

Left Arm: WarGreymon form. Wields the Brave Shield (inscribed with "All Delete") and the Grey Sword.

Right Arm: MetalGarurumon form. Equipped with cannons and missiles. Special move: "Garuru Cannon," which fires absolute zero freezing shells.

Synchronization Rate: 10%

Raizel raised his left hand and swung it downward; the Grey Sword extended from the WarGreymon mouth.

He lifted his right hand, and the Garuru Cannon deployed with a click.

'Only 10%? My magic power must be too low right now. I'm probably just a flashy paper tiger at this point,' he thought.

'Luckily, this body is young. I have time to train. I need to find out what year it is tomorrow'.

"System?"

No response.

'So it's not a sentient System? Just a program that responds to keywords?'

Raizel shook his head.

'Whatever, there's no point overthinking it. I need to rest.'

He canceled the transformation.

Using the Fire God Might (a passive ability from Gankoomon's data) to ignite the branch he had carried, he started a small fire.

"Damp wood is hard to burn," he muttered, piling the fire near the guild's gate.

He curled up against the entrance, pulling his knees to his chest, and fell asleep under the moonlight.
