Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Even with how powerful Teacher is, I don't like our chances. We don't know how fast he is nor if he's weaker or stronger than the rest of his kind. Not to mention the fact that he swung that club like it weighed nothing, and the worst part is that I couldn't even see him swing it.

Narrowing my eyes, a thought popped inside my head after I came back to my sesmses and calmed down. 'Why is he carrying the deer with him, and where is he taking it?'

The orc sniffed around for a few more minutes before he went deeper into the forest, going straight over the tracks heading east.

Teacher canceled the spell once she felt it was safe to do so and stepped out from behind the tree.

"Can you cast a spell to track his movements?" I asked, my mind pulling up every piece of knowledge I have about the orcs and a few possibilities popped up. None of them were good, but we could use this. I can get experience, possibly save the captured women, and find out where we are if there are women there. Three birds one stone.

"Yes, quite easily," she said, looking at me curiously. "What are you thinking, master?"

"Orcs, from my knowledge, sometimes live in groups with goblins and other similar monsters. They usually attack towns, merchants, or passing carriages, and they usually take everything. Which means supplies, including any women, which they repeatedly rape and impregnate to replenish their numbers. As for the men, well, they kill them if they're lucky, and if they're unlucky, eat them alive."

"That doesn't sound like the orcs that I know of," Teacher muttered, her face pale, looking faintly ill at the news.

"Well, this is a different world than the one you or I came from," I said, placing a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, and she squeezed my hand in thanks.

"Yes, but I didn't expect it to be that different."

We walked in silence for about 16 minutes, following the trail that only Teacher could see, and pretty soon came up to the mountainside where there's a cave hidden behind a few well-placed trees. We wouldn't have found it if it hadn't been for the orc leading us here. We moved about two dozen or so feet further back, hidden behind some spells.

'Crap, it's caves... Figures. I hate caves.' I grumbled silently in my head and looked down at the crest before turning to look at Teacher. "Is it possible for you to knock everyone out inside the cave with a spell or a gas or something. I don't want the monsters to hurt the women or use them as hostages against us."

"Yes, I know a few ways to do that, but as I am now, it's not possible for me," She said, shaking her head. "If I was in my other forms, then I could easily handle all the orcs and save the women."

"It's not your fault, Teacher. I'll just have to see if I can summon someone that could help," I told her, looking at my remaining mana, which was enough to do four more summons.

Feeding my mana into the crest, I watched as the summoning circle glowed and felt it connecting with someone.

My first thought when I summoned her was that she was so cute, but not exactly what I needed. She looks like a small child mixed with a bear that has cute ears and paws for the hands and feet.

"Roar, grrrrrr, roar, master!" Bugbear growled cutely as she was summoned, and she leaped at me, pulling me into a bear hug.

I wheezed at her strength, feeling my body being squeezed tight. "Gah! You're squeezing too hard!" I screamed in pain, feeling my back crack ominously, and quickly tapped on her shoulder.

"Oh, right! Sorry master, I forgot that you're not strong like us," she said, releasing me, and I flopped to the floor face-first. "Hm? Are you dead, master?" She asked poking me with a stick she somehow found in a few seconds of being here, much to Teacher's not-so-silent amusement.

"N-no... I'm doing... just fine... Don't worry about me." I told her sarcastically, feeling my eye twitch with each poke she gave.

"Okay! Hey Teacher, nice to see you again!"

"You too, Bugbear."

Listening to their conversation, it seemed that they knew each other, which should have been obvious. Thankfully, it took only a few minutes for me to recover, while Bugbear happily spent chasing after an insect that looked like a grasshopper. Standing back up, I couldn't help but wonder if my luck was finally turning around.

Summoning three more times, gave me 2 more ascension materials and 1 more Valkyrie.

She's a young teenager with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a white veil with a white shine maiden-like outfit with long sleeves and blue hakama pants. In her hand, she's holding a paper talisman.

"I have been waiting. I've prepared some curses," Onmyoji said, holding up a few paper talismans.

"Hey, Onmyoji," Bugbear greeted her with a wave before she went back to her hunt.

"Bugbear, Teacher," she replied with a small nod to both before placing her talismans away.

"Quick question, can the curses you use knock someone out for hours? How about a group? Can you summon a creature small but fast enough to scout inside the cave?" I asked curiously, as a plan started to form in my mind.

"Yes, it's possible, but it'll be easier if there's something of the victims I could use. There's one, but it'll take some time for my shikigami to search the entire cave system," she said, answering each of my questions. "Why?"

I began explaining the situation to them both, and once I was done, Onmyoji and Bugbear were on board.

-----------------------------------------------------------

– 37 Minutes Later –

"I found them and you were right, master," Onmyoji said with a grimace. "From what I could see, there's 16 orcs, 49 smaller orcs, and 32 captured women, of which 18 are pregnant."

"Is it possible for you to put them all to sleep?" I asked, after a moment of silence, surprised at the amount of women captured. It was a lot more than I was expecting.

"Yes, that won't be a problem," she replied, pulling out a talisman from her sleeve and starting reciting an incantation. When she was finished, she threw it inside the cave entrance where it ignited, releasing a misty like smoke. "Now, all we need to do is wait."

--------------------------------------------

After waiting for 30 minutes, I turned to look at Onmyoji, who silently nodded at my unasked question, and we went to the entrance where we saw the burnt remnants of her talisman.

"Master, I think it would be better for you to stay here at the entrance just in case someone else comes," Onmyoji suggested, hoping that I'll take the offer. She knew what were going to find in there would not be pretty and wanted to spare me the horror.

"I know that you're trying to protect me, but I want to help."

"Haah~ fine, but be prepared; it won't be pretty." Onmyoji relented and covered up the cave entrance with a barrier talisman and Teacher helped by putting up another.

After that, we went into the dark caves where Teacher created a small sphere of light to lead us through. Yet, despite the light shining through, I couldn't help but imagine some orcs or goblins hidden above, ready to pounce at us.

The more we went in, the more nervous I felt, which my companions saw and Bugbear decided to hold my hand for her "own" support. I truly felt grateful for that and I started calming down.

It was surprisingly uneventful for about a few minutes until we were forced to stop when we saw three passageways ahead of us. I breathed a sigh of relief that we didn't have to split up since we can take out time searching them one by one.

"Let's see," Teacher muttered tapping her lip with her wand before she levitated a big piece of rock and then transformed it into a human-shaped object. With a wave, it split up into three smaller sizes and they all started walking shakily towards the entrances. For the first one, after a few feet in, multiple traps activated, a log swung from behind forcing the dummy to fall and hit the ground were he soon disappeared. The second one, stepped on something that caused the spears to jut out from the side wall, skewer him. As for the last one nothing happened and he kept on walking.

"Hmm, how interesting," Teacher muttered walking towards the first entrance, waving her wand and the dummy was lifted up, showing he was filled with holes.

"Teacher, shouldn't we go down the third one instead of the first?" I couldn't help but ask, hesitating at the entrance, but I followed after her, with Onmyoji and Bugbear behind me.

"Generally, when traps are installed in these caves, it means that it's a deterrent, forcing the adventurers to take the safer passageways. It'll take them longer to reach the destination and gives the creatures living here more than enough time to prepare."

She showed proof as 16 or so minutes later, after dealing with many more traps, and another two passageways, we managed to reach the room within the underground area, and… it was massive.

I gagged at the smell emanating from the entrance and I was forced to pinch my nose. Teacher waved her wand and I couldn't smell it anymore. I shot her a grateful look at that, but I wish the cave wasn't illuminated with torches so I don't have to see what was inside.

There was a large number of orcs, and goblins scattered all over the cave, some face down surrounding some unfortunate women, a few goblins dead with food stuck in their throats. Further back, was a group of women who were locked in a large yellow cage made up of something I don't want to think deeply about.

As we walked further in, I noticed that there was a pile of broken mismatched armors, coins, ripped clothes, weapons, and bones with pieces of dry meat attached scattered around. I couldn't help but notice that all the monsters were trembling and moaning softly in pain.

"What's going on, Onmyoji? Why are they all moaning like that?" Bugbear couldn't help but ask out of morbid curiosity.

"It's a little something I had added," Onmyoji replied darkly, "When any male monster inhales the mist and falls asleep, they will experience excruciating pain, not even death can cure." She coughed softly, regaining her composure after noticing me looking at her.

Teacher waved her wand, breaking the bone prison to pieces before tossing it aside as the bone fragments pierced the monsters. With another wave, all the women were lifted into the air as the cum and other things began to gently be pushed out of their bodies before landing on the floor, and their large stomachs soon returned to normal.

I gritted my teeth seeing how they all looked haggard and thin. There were deep bruises all over their bodies and some had wounds, some were infected. I picked up a sword that was still serviceable and pointed it down towards one sleeping orc's throat that was naked next to a pile of fluids. I closed my eyes as it went down with some resistance, forcing me to put more force into it.

I opened my eyes again and stared at the dead body, not feeling anything as I picked the sword back up. I took a few steps to the right and did it again, this time to a goblin instead. I couldn't help but wince as Bugbear followed my example, but she picked up a club and started smashing their dicks and balls instead of their heads. Teacher did nothing as the ground pierced their chests that Bugbear mutilated.

It didn't take long for us to finish killing them all, along with the babies hidden in a smaller cave and gathering up the still serviceable loot. I had to sit down for a moment, taking a small break while staring at nothing in particular, trying to ignore all the dead bodies around us. I couldn't help but let my mind wonder about different things, never staying on one topic.

Why don't I feel guilty for killing them? Which world am I in? What will we do with the women we rescued? Should we wait to wake them up as we heal all of their injuries? Will they trust us? Should I have them sleep some more until then and summon more Valkyries? Will we be able to understand to each other?

I was brought out from my musing when a screen appeared with a report of our total kills.

I stared at it for a moment before waving it away and rejoined the group. We didn't find anything else, even after checking the other tunnels to make sure we don't miss anything.

We soon left with the now 32 partially clothed women and the loot in silence, with the remains being burned to ash. Once we left through the cave entrance, Teacher destroyed it.

(A few Hours later)

It was late in the afternoon with the sun setting, we decided to make camp at a small clearing with a crystal clear stream that was connected to a waterfall. After talking it over, it was best to keep the woman asleep for the time being.
