Orochimaru was too busy reveling in Shizune's pain and focusing on Jiraiya to notice the silent exchange between Kakashi and his student. "You must truly be heartless," he purred to Daichi. "Look at her, choking right before you, yet you won't even glance up? Or is it that you're too afraid to see what I could do next?"
Suddenly, Daichi's arm snapped up. In a single fluid motion, he flung the kunai straight at Orochimaru's face, specifically his right eye.
It was an action so abrupt that Jiraiya reflexively tightened his stance, unsure if Daichi had simply lost control or truly aimed to blind Orochimaru.
Orochimaru smirked, already moving. "Finally a reaction," he murmured.
In the same heartbeat, he deftly twisted his head aside, letting the kunai whistle harmlessly past his ear. A thousand times, Orochimaru had faced such attempts; this was child's play to him. "Really, Daichi? That's the best you can—"
A flash of lightning. A sharp, crackling hum filled the air.
In that instant, someone appeared in midair, launched from the trace line of a small teleportation seal etched onto the kunai's handle.
Orochimaru's smirk barely had time to fade before he felt an intense, searing pain in his right arm. The sensation was immediate and absolute. His entire limb went numb before he even had the chance to react.
His eyes shifted to the side and he saw Kakashi there.
The Copy Ninja had appeared above him in a blur of motion, his lightning chakra hummed with lethal intensity.
Kakashi's voice was low but fierce, "Chidori…!"
The blade of lightning had already sliced through Orochimaru's right arm, severing it cleanly at the shoulder. Blood spattered across the ground in thick droplets as the dismembered limb, let go of Shizune and fell to the ground.
At that same instant, Kakashi's free arm wrapped tightly around Shizune's waist. 'No time to linger.' And he reactivated the short-range teleport and vanished from Orochimaru's immediate reach.
Orochimaru's eyes flared wide in pain and fury. "Damn you—!"
But Kakashi was already gone, vanishing in another short-range teleport, guided by the same cunning markings. He and Shizune reappeared behind Jiraiya's position, dust swirling in the brief space they'd occupied. Kakashi set Shizune down carefully, supporting her weakened frame with an arm.
Shizune stumbled, dropping to her knees, gasping for breath and frantically trying to purge the venom from her bloodstream. Kakashi stood next to her, lightning fizzling out around his hand. "You're safe now," he murmured, though worry stained his voice as he saw how pale she looked.
For the first time in many moments, Shizune's eyes welled with tears that mingled with her ragged breathing. She was still shaking from the venom's effect, but she was glad to be alive. 'Daichi… Master Jiraiya… Kakashi… they all came through.'
Jiraiya, quickly assessing that Shizune was out of immediate danger, flicked his gaze to Daichi. The boy was still crouched over Tsunade, ignored everything else, and let out a relieved breath now that Shizune was rescued.
The white Haired Sannin immediately turned his attention back to his former teammate and looked at the missing arm. 'He can't be happy about that.'
He was right. An unholy shriek of anger tore from Orochimaru's throat. "Kakashi… you…!" Orochimaru spat, his face contorting in pain and fury.
The severed stump of his right shoulder already began to writhe unnaturally. Suddenly a sickening mass of white snakes slithered and hissing from the severed stump and they quickly extended to the arm laying on the ground.
Jiraiya, seeing Orochimaru's attempt to reattach that arm, made a decision. "Kakashi, the moment Tsunade is stable enough to move, Take everyone as far away from here as possible."
The copy ninja nodded. "I understand."
Orochimaru trembled with rage, clamping his left hand over the stump as he used his snakes to fix his arm. He forcibly composed himself and lips drawn back in a snarl. "You… Do you think… that mere dismemberment can stop me?"
Jiraiya's voice hardened. "It's over, Orochimaru. You can't get to Tsunade. You're wounded, outnumbered, and your hostages have slipped from your grasp." 'If I start a serious battle with him here, he might try something. I have to wait till Kakashi takes them away.'
The Snake Sannin's grin twitched. "You fool… you… can't possibly understand." He glowered at Daichi's silhouette, kneeling by Tsunade. "I will have her blood, or all my efforts will be worthless." But even as he said it, a quiver of uncertainty laced his tone.
At that moment another voice spoke up drawing everyone's attention.
"I've stabilized her." Daichi reported looking at his Jonin teacher. Kakashi and Shizune immediately came near him.
Jiraiya immediately spoke with urgency. "Kakashi get them out of here."
Orochimaru was startled and shocked that the boy was able to give her a fighting chance so quickly. And he became anxious as Jiraiya gave the order. "If you leave with her from here, I'll hunt your grandfather down and kill him." He roared at the Genin.
Jiraiya and Kakashi frowned at the blatant provocation attempt.
The Toad Sage's frown deepened. "You just keep proving what a piece of garbage you really are, don't you?" His fingers twitched, barely resisting the urge to strike right then and there.
Kakashi's eyes also darkened dangerously. "Resorting to petty threats now? You really are desperate."
But as if responding to Orochimaru's words, Daichi stopped his green flow of chakra. Orochimaru's golden eyes narrowed. He tracked Daichi's every move. 'Did I get under his skin with that threat? He's finally stopped his treatment.'
Before Kakashi could use his teleportation jutsu, Daichi stopped him. "Sensei, can you take her back to the village in less than three or four bursts?"
The Jonin looked at the boy and then shook his head. "No. I can't."
"What if I give you more chakra?" Daichi asked.
"It's not just a matter of chakra. It's my proficiency with the jutsu. Teleporting to such long distances… I can't do that… yet." The Leaf Jonin honestly replied.
Daichi was silent as he thought about the predicament he was in. 'Even if we manage to teleport her away from this battle field, we're still in enemy territory. If any Hidden Stone ninja sees us, it'll become a bigger problem. Looks like I'll have to settle the matter here.'
"Daichi, what's wrong?" Jiraiya asked him without taking his eyes off the enemy.
"She can't handle too many teleportation shifts. It will worsen her condition. We can't take that chance. And moving her away from this isolated location will also pose a risk of exposure. We'll have to wait for Lord Second."
Daichi's reply made Jiraiya grim. He looked at Orochimaru and readied his chakra. 'It seems I have no choice. I have to start the battle and forcibly move him away from here. Otherwise he will definitely try to get to her.'
Just as Jiraiya was about to attack, Daichi stood up and sighed. He took off his special sunglasses and looked at his unconscious teacher.
His eyes then turned to Shizune. The young woman blinked, still recovering from Orochimaru's venom coursing through her system, but she forced herself upright. "What is it, Daichi?"
"Keep watch over her."
"What are you going to do?" The older medic asked with worry. She saw the look on Daichi's face and knew he was angry.
Kakashi immediately stepped forward, placing a firm hand on Daichi's shoulder. "Don't." His voice was low, edged with concern. "This isn't necessary. We'll handle this."
But Daichi lifted his hand and gently pushed Kakashi's arm away. Kakashi saw the look in his student's and he recognized it. 'It's that same look he had back then… When I was fighting him. He's seriously pissed off.'
Orochimaru's smirk widened. "Aww… so you do care." He tilted his head mockingly. "I was beginning to think you had no emotions at all."
The Genin didn't say a word and walked up to the Toad Sage.
Jiraiya looked at the boy and immediately understood his intention. "Daichi, I know you're angry but let me do this. Your priority should be her."
"I've done all I can for sensei here. I can't do more till we reach the village…" The Genin replied with a calm tone.
"Is that the truth?" Jiraiya wanted to know if Daichi was overcome with rage and was making an error in judgement.
The Genin looked at the old sage and nodded sincerely. "Yes. If there was a chance, I'd be leaving here with her in a heartbeat."
Jiraiya gazed into the boy's eyes and realized that he was telling the truth. "I see. Daichi, then I'll fight him. You-"
Jiraiya began trying to dissuade him but a sudden burst of powerful killing intent from the boy silenced him.
[Skill Gamer's Mind is now turned Off]
"And I've been wanting to do this since the moment I saw what he did to her." Daichi had bloodshot eyes and veins popping up on his forehead as he looked at the enemy in front of him.
"I see you're finally angry. That's some impressive killing intent boy." Seeing that his threat had worked, and the boy stayed, Orochimaru laughed. "Kukuku… Now you're ready to fight? Aren't you breaking Tsunade's rules?"
"That would be true… If I was any other medic ninja." Daichi brought his hands together and made a Tiger seal.
Orochimaru and Jiraiya immediately recognized what the boy intended to do and they were absolutely shocked. 'No. It can't be… He actually… learned it?'
Suddenly before any of them could react, seals began appearing on Daichi's body and they began spreading from behind the Leaf headband.
[You have activated Skill Strength of the Hundred Seal: Tier 01. As such, System has temporarily stopped allocating chakra to the Tier 03 seal.]
As the seals spread, Daichi took off the Leaf headband covering his forehead and put it in his pocket. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
The green diamond mark on his forehead flared bright. Specifically the upper part of the mark. And a network of glowing seals spread outward, lacing across his temples, cheeks, down his neck, and presumably the rest of his body beneath his clothes.
Both Sannins saw a Green triangle seal glowing in the middle of Daichi's head. 'He had that seal behind the headband all this time?'
"I'm sure you're familiar with this fourth rule." Daichi locked eyes with Orochimaru and spoke in a soft tone.
"A medic ninja who masters the Mitotic Regeneration: The hundred healings… may ignore the other three rules."
[Any/All negative status such as mental or physical fatigue or wounds have been removed.]
The chakra resonance became deafeningly clear: the air vibrated with raw power, enough that the ground beneath Daichi cracked in spider-web patterns.
Dust rose in gentle plumes around his feet.
[Tier 01: 25000000 chakra points is now allocated to the Player for use.]
Orochimaru's eyes widened, genuine astonishment flickering there. "What…? You— A mere child actually developed that jutsu?" He clenched his teeth, mind racing at the implications.
The swirling aura emanating from Daichi was massive and began flooding the battlefield with pressure.
[All physical stats have been temporarily boosted by 250 points]
Shizune saw the seals on the boy's body and a small smile formed on her face. She remembered what her teacher had told her in secret. 'I've never met anyone as talented as him. It won't be long before he reaches my level or even surpasses me. I'm actually looking forward to it. But don't tell him that. It'll just make his already big head bigger.'
Jiraiya could only watch in awe as the boy's chakra soared. 'Such power… it's incredible.'
He recognized the distinct signature of the Hundred Healings. Tsunade's legendary technique that stored an immense amount of chakra over time, then released it all at once for near-limitless regeneration and colossal physical enhancements.
Kakashi reflexively dropped into a partial defensive stance, but he wasn't preparing to fight Daichi. 'He's releasing so much chakra. It's as if I'm standing near a tailed beast.'
He stepped forward in front of Shizune and Tsunade to protect them from any aftershock of Daichi's chakra. He looked at his student's back and felt immense pride. 'He's surpassed me. He's on a whole different level now.'
The rocky ground cracked further, lines radiating from beneath Daichi's feet.
Orochimaru, for the second time that night, felt a sliver of unease coil in his gut. His tongue flicked out involuntarily. 'He's stored that much chakra already? How is that even possible at his age?'
Daichi lifted one hand, clenching his fist experimentally. Pale green lines of chakra blazed across his forearm, and he felt raw energy flooding every cell. 'So this is what it feels like.'
He hardened his gaze at Orochimaru, whose face now wore a mixture of shock and renewed wariness.
Daichi lowered his stance slightly. Then… he vanished. Not even a blur. No wasted movement. Just gone.
Orochimaru barely had time to register a thought before—
BOOM!
A sonic crack echoed through the night as Daichi's fist collided with Orochimaru's face.
