Chapter 43 - Into the sky.

Corvo was in his meditative trance for an entire day and night. His Rank helped him deal with the normal hunger that he would have had if he was weaker.

The Grand Astral technique was truly magical for lower ranked beings. The normal pain that one would have while using this technique was eliminated because of his bodily restructuring from the multiple bloodlines.

He had gone from incredible pain when he first started to minor pain after Frindle helped him out to absolutely no pain with the help of the ancestors.

The time he was able to stay in cultivation had increased dramatically. The pain would always be an annoyance so he couldn't focus for too long. Now however he could completely devote himself to getting stronger.

The qi and Astral energies baptized his body and soul. It was like being in a warm bath slowly relaxing and comforting. His soul was getting stronger by the hour and so was his flesh. His essence was becoming much purer.

He had Ranked up to Third rank peak in just one night.

When he awoke he felt extremely comfortable.

He noticed his feathers became darker almost like vanta black. The tips of each feather were a mix of one color and black so they showed up in the Sun as the darkest version of that color.

His beak grew longer by 1 Cm and so did his talons. The colors of his beak looked metallic and sharp. His talons had Dao markings for sharpness due to his metallic bloodline from Latem.

He was as light as a cloud due to the cloudy crow bloodline. It was odd being so light but also so firm from what one would think would be conflicting bloodlines. He was oblivious to how special he truly was.

In all of recorded and unrecorded time there had never been a divine being with so many divine bloodlines not conflicting with each other.

I have become so much stronger after a cultivation session. I should be strong enough to leave now but I haven't explored this area at all. I should explore and broaden my horizons before I decide to leave.

I look at the sky and notice the beautiful moon.

I can't help but wonder if one day soon I would be able to travel to the starry sky and visit the moon.

The following morning Corvo looked at his nest and nostalgia struck him hard. Even though it wasn't very long it was very memorable.

It all started from his rebirth when he hatched from an egg then he met the playful Frindle.

From her teasing to her helpfulness in cultivation technique. Then all the mistakes he made while hunting and the weird synchronization from the flawed Grand Astral Technique, Followed by the unruly Ping who had ravaged his body and his mother almost dieing. Then came a miracle when the Crow ancestors Halcyon showed up with the heads of the crow clans. Ping ran away when confronted with all the Crow clan ancestors but not before explaining that the Grand Astral Technique caused a resonance with Frindle and made her berserk.

Honestly I feel horrible about Frindle's situation and deep inside I made a promise to myself to make it up to her for all the trouble I inadvertently caused.

The problem with Frindle inadvertently caused a blessing with me receiving the bloodlines of the Crow ancestors.

Halcyon the Primordial Golden Sun Crow blessed me with a new name Corvo which I had adopted to be my name since I had reincarnated and felt that my old name no longer mattered.

I had most definitely lived a colorful life in a short time and I couldn't help but laugh.

I take a minute to compose myself and prepare to leave going towards my mother's nest to say farewell.

I take flight and heads towards my mother who had been resting.

Hello mother I said waiting for her to open her eyes.

Hello child. What craziness do you bring today? She said in a playful tone.

Shocked by what she said I blurted out How rude mother! My feathers couldn't help but puff out a bit. I didn't cause any trouble on purpose I whispered the last few words noticing that I had indeed causes trouble.

Sorry mother for my outburst I have indeed caused trouble but I am here with news. I have decided to leave the nest and explore the Cultivation habitat.

My mother stood up and looked at me for a few seconds. She then spoke you are as strong as I am but the bloodline of our ancestors has made you impossible to gauge your true strength. If you believe that you will be safe then go ahead and live your life. Birds will eventually leave the nest. When you find a mate come get your mother I will see if she is worth of my stupid son.

Mate!?! I couldn't help but be shocked at what she said. Mother I am just exploring not looking for a mate! I am still young! I couldn't help but be flustered.

Fuufufu! Don't be shy son. We all find a mate eventually, even an odd ball such as yourself will find someone. I hope to see you with children soon. We shouldn't fail the bloodline that you have received from our ancestors. We should spread our glory and create the best crow clan ever.

I couldn't say no. My mother was very impassioned. Okay mother I shall find the best mate ever and eventually create a super crow clan.

Good good my mothers excitement was radiating off her body. I guess no matter where I am intelligent creatures care about their offspring.

I shall be off mother. Please take care of yourself and if you need my nest or if any of my siblings need one please tell them that the may use it.

I shall my son. Farewell and good luck with your journey, you don't have to worry about me I have received an inheritance from our ancestors and I shall focus my time on getting stronger. I will break my shackles and soar through the sky as a magnificent Crow clan member.

My mother's conviction spread to myself and I too felt the urge to break these shackles and fly into he starry sky. I still have to cultivate but eventually I will fly into the sky and be free.
