Chapter 44 - Corvos feast.

Ahh flying is so much fun! I do loops ,barrel rolls, dives all sorts of maneuvers. I feel like a fighter jet and my imagination goes wild.

It took me a long time to calm down from my excitement, such childness is beneath me after all I am the progenitor of the Chaotic Crow Clan and I shouldn't act so flimsy.

After having a conversation with mother I learned that we are near the outer edge of the cultivation habitat. It's where the trees are the most abundant and low tier creatures for easy feeding for the young. My mother was very keen on setting up a nest here so that we can get use to flying and hunting with out much danger.

As I head towards to the center I have noticed that the forest has thinned out a bit but it's still plentiful. The other thing is that the monsters seem to be born stronger and that qi is slightly more abundant. More qi must make stronger monsters.

I land on a branch of what can be considered pine trees but with purple pine needles. I was curious on what they tasted like. I'm in a cultivation world anything could be a treasure and maybe these tasted like grapes.

Corvo then took a bite out of the pine needle.

Clang ~

The pine needles ended up being metallic.

"Fugg these things are hard." Corvo grumbles to himself.

He focused his cultivation technique and his beak turned shinier and more metallic and he snapped the pine needled up. He used his Grand Astral Qi and broke down the needle and swallowed it.

It was very bitter if you didn't know any better it would look like Corvo swallowed a super sour lemon.

The Qi from the pine needle started to break into two one went towards his core and the other to his inner world and latched onto the crow constellation.

It circled the outline of the crow and fed all the stars but it mostly landed in the Metallic Crow star and nourished it. Shocked about what just happened Corvo decided to eat until he was full.

Needle by needle it entered what seems to be a black hole. How constitution changes when he had evolved by taking in multiple bloodlines and seemed to reinforce his meridians and core.

The purple pine needles seemed to enhance his flesh, talons and beak. The needles made them tougher and sharper and slightly heavier.

He continued to eat until the branches started to look bare. He suddenly felt a bit sorry for the tree and left it alone and decided to feast on others.

Corvo flying from pine tree to pine tree to feast was a sight to behold. If anyone had seen him they would have wondered why a bird was eating pines needles and thought he was a fool. However they didn't know that the Grand Astral technique combined with his bloodlines broke things down to the most basic element which helped nourish his flesh, essence and soul.

He was almost overcome with greed when he had started eating and noticing how bare the trees were getting made him feel sorry for them. He decided to continue exploring and hope to come across more delicious food items that would help strength him.

As he flew away if one were to look at the forest canopy it would look like a bald man with a few stray hairs trying to save what little he had left.

Corvo taking a post meal flight was excited at the prospect of finding more delicious things. What he didn't know was that he was slowly becoming more like his mother a glutton that would lust for food in the future.

Corvo flew closer to the center but was still very far from the middle. He had stopped multiple times to sample food from different trees. He ate their leaves ,fruit , berries from bushes ,he had even ate branches and tree bark. From an outsiders perspective it would look like this bird had been starved for days and are what ever he could do is fill his belly.

After his food journey he had decided to make a temporary nest on a giant maple tree that had bluish green leaves and banana shaped fruit. It had turned out at least to him they tasted like sour apples which was odd.

He had looked at the stars in his make shift nest.

Happy and content that his journey was relatively stress-free. He had closed his eyes and cultivated but he had fallen asleep thinking about food.

He awoke to find his nest flooding with drool. Apparently he had slept for 2 days and dreamt of food the entire time causing his mouth to drool the entire time.

How embarrassing he thought to himself as he used his cultivation to dry out and flew away very fast as if he could out run shame.

He had found a river and noticed a weird creature sitting by the river crying it's eyes out and Corvo being the kind an compassionate crow that he was decided to see if he could cheer the ugly thing right up.
