Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: He Actually Came Here to Find Her?

As soon as she finished speaking, Seraphina Redgrave snatched Ronan Yates' phone, and with just two clicks, she casually took her ID photo.

"Uh..." Ronan Yates looked bewildered.

Sylvia Shaw? Little French Fry? How much do you love french fries, lady!

"What kind of expression is that? Can't I be called that?" Seraphina Redgrave looked at Ronan Yates and was about to exert more force.

"No, no, no, beautiful lady, such a refreshingly unique name, it's simply heavenly!"

Ronan Yates desperately flattered her, fearing if this continued, his hand would be useless.

"Three o'clock on Saturday afternoon, The Azure Pavilion on the sixth floor of Apex Plaza, if I can't see my ID..."

Seraphina Redgrave suddenly stopped, released Ronan Yates' hand, took his phone from in front of him with an amiable expression that sent chills down one's spine, "Then I'll just have the regret of seeing your tombstone."

The phone became collateral, making Ronan Yates dare not have any other crooked thoughts.

Ronan Yates was scared out of his wits, afraid this female demon would change her mind if she was displeased. "Alright! I promise I'll be there on time!"

"Good that you know what's what." Seraphina Redgrave didn't press further. "There's one more favor I need to ask, I didn't bring much money, so..."

"I understand, I understand. It's a small matter, don't worry."

Ronan Yates carefully held his injured hand and breathed a long sigh of relief.

Seraphina Redgrave was pleased with how tactful this person was, so she decided to be unceremonious.

"Master, ten skewers of roast lamb, please."

Seraphina Redgrave was happily devouring her food, but in the next second, an untimely commotion arose.

She didn't care, but when she looked up, she found a horde of well-dressed bodyguards rushing towards her table, each looking fierce enough to scare everyone away.

"Get lost, all of you!"

Ha, not much skill but such a bad temper!

Do these people not understand the concept of "first come, first served"?

Reluctantly, as Seraphina Redgrave stared at the roast lamb in her hand, there was nothing she could do. She could only say to the vendor, "Excuse me, I need a bag."

Seraphina Redgrave glanced around with her peripheral vision and immediately spotted an "old acquaintance".

Nathan Ayers.

One of Ethan Sterling's capable subordinates.

Damn it!

Could it be such a coincidence?

Has Ethan Sterling come looking for her?

Ethan Sterling, busy as he is, doesn't have time to set foot on the ground. Why would he come to such a chaotic food street to experience life?

Suddenly, Seraphina Redgrave felt that the roast lamb in her hand didn't taste good anymore. In a hurry, she grabbed a mask from a nearby table and put it on, and casually grabbed a piece of clothing from a chair and threw it on her shoulders.

Simply perfect!

Having done all this, Seraphina Redgrave blended into the crowd of people hurriedly retreating, ready to escape.

Calmly, she sidestepped past Nathan Ayers, feigning composure, but the hand hidden under her clothes was tightly clenched in nervousness.

Faster! A little faster!

The last step!

Seraphina Redgrave was holding her breath, ready to exhale slowly when someone grabbed her the next second. She was about to return the attack, ready to go all out, when she saw Nathan Ayers looking righteous and composed, "You can't leave, if you do, what will our boss eat?"

"???" What does it matter to me what he eats!

No, Nathan Ayers didn't seem to recognize her!

So...

Seraphina Redgrave suddenly thought of something, took a deep breath, and her gaze slowly descended.

"Little Morgan's Crawfish" was boldly printed on her collar.

Damn it! The piece of clothing she grabbed casually was actually the snack shop owner's!

Seraphina Redgrave was so angry she could almost spit blood, but she dared not show any inappropriate expression on her face.

"Go get your signature dish and let our boss try it. If it's not good, there's no need to keep this shop open."

How annoying Nathan Ayers' words were!

"Don't you understand human language? What are you standing there for?"

The smile under Seraphina Redgrave's mask twisted to an extremely awkward angle.

Nathan Ayers, remember this!

Under the eaves, one has to bow. Seraphina Redgrave resignedly moved her feet slowly toward the snack shop. She originally thought the shop owner would come out to explain the misunderstanding, but she didn't even see a shadow of him.

Black forces ruin people's lives!

Oh well.

If it's a blessing, it's not a curse. If it's a curse, there's no avoiding it. Just leave it to fate now.

Seraphina Redgrave helplessly walked into the shop, bewilderedly picked up a handful of live crawfish, lit a fire, and started working.

Before long, the bustling food street was as quiet as a purgatory. The only moving figures were those evil-looking bodyguards and the grandly dressed Nathan Ayers.

And the biggest enemy.

Ethan Sterling, King Yama.
