It was snowy morning when Eva came out of her room, deprived of energy because of another sleepless night.
Last night, laying on her bed, Eva has thought about all the places that she has been to in Leal, thinking of one that could do the most memorable place that Lena has ever visited here. When Eva was reminded of The Night Forest, which she has accidentally discovered one day, chasing the familiar warmth. She decides on visiting this place with her and close her eyes with satisfaction. In morning Evelyn carefully closed the door behind her in order to not wake Lena. Dylan was already waiting for her in lounge. Deep in thoughts, he didn't even noticed her when Eva sit on achair before him. Eva was startled at that.
"What's troubling you Dylan? " Eva tapped oonhis hand in order to get his attention to her. Dykan who was deep in thoughts, mindlessly looked at her once, as if he is trying to get his mind to present where things were all safe and in his hands.
"Morning Eva " he was cheerful once again. The one she knows. The mask that Dylan put on his face.
"Morning Dylan " Eva carefully said, weighing the debate in her mind between two options.
"What's wrong? " Eva asked once again.
And at that moment, Dylan knew that he can no longer hide about what he has learned yesterday. Of-course he wasn't going to tell her about the dream and the things in Capaldi that has happened to him. Eva already has much to be worried about in her plate. Dylan who was waiting for a call from Gibbs Eleanor was caught by her. Dylan moves his hand and place his elbows on table. He wasn't going to lie that was what he has had finally decided as he crossed his fingers. Dylan looked ahead, snow was falling quickly now. The scene was slowly melting the years of ice present on a distant memory.
"It's just that yesterday, I was on a mission that the base chief wanted me to accompany The Eagle Team." Dylan told her but his mind was still wandering on that memory, that was long forgotten.
"if it bothers you that much, why you agreed in first place? The Dylan I know will not do anything if he didn't like. " Eva asked, pouring warm water in the cup.
The image was clear and so vivid that it can be in his mind.
"I was thrown a bait. " it was when Evelyn knows things could be serious now. She take warm cup of water in her hands and slowly sips water, watching him.
The younger Dylan was busy throwing a tantrum in Al'Xander mansion. He has heard the news at last. The butler robot has turned on the Governmental channel and left it on mistakenly after listening to an announcement.
The news anchor was saying that it has been a week now since the Lord of Heisenberg has been disappeared along with his family. Dylan remembers it.
"The chief told me off a place that I was searching for, for quite a long period of time. He let me watch a video of that one place in winter at first. I didn't recognize it. "
a scene plays before his eyes as Dylan tells Eva.
"Why you hide it from me Dad? "
The young Dylan was arguing with his father, his face red from crying.
" I want to search for them. I want to rescue Baby too. " little Dylan was complaining to his father.
His father watched him with hopelessness.
Another scene plays before his eyes, once he closed his eyes for a moment. It disappeared like before.
Dylan opens his eyes and saw her worried face. He smiles, hiding that memory deep inside him.
"Why not now?" The voice asked, curious what happened next..
"Leave it for another time " Dylan replied.
" I have decided not to take the mission at that moment, I was going to refuse but the chief played the next video. It was of that place in spring now and the Lord of Heisenberg has showed me a picture of this place that summer. " Dylan told her.
Now it was her turn to be shocked.
"That place is in Leal? But that is a private property am I right?" Eva asked.
Dylan nods.
" How Armed Forces have a hold of that place? she asked.
They have never named the place but refer to it as that place.
" The owner is alive, how could it be happened? Eva crossed her arms on chest.
"Thinking same as you, I took the bait and completed the mission. Dylan didn't give her further details on mission.
"So? " Evelyn asked, watching him, her little brother Dylan in thoughts.
" It troubles me. " Dylan truthfully said. This thought has been in his mind since last night, but at first Lena didn't picked his calls, than drunk her pushes it deep in his mind. He momentary forgets about it but it all come back to him like a boomerang as he listened to the news of mission on Governmental channel. The tension spread in his body, moving to every cell inside him. He felt it like a venom attacking him, killing him.
Dylan watched Eva carefully, taking in every single bit of her expressions inside him. It feels like he has done good thing telling her all this. Eva who lived alone, without any robot in her apartment in Leal has to be careful now.
Eva wanted to say that it all will be okay. She opens her mouth but words did not come. Instead she says
"I will be careful in my research for you." and decides to prepare brunch for three of them, three inhibitant of the apartment who were battling alone in their own war grounds.. She left him alone because Evelyn knows that now is the time that Dylan needs to be alone. So, he can think of what strategy to apply and what to leave behind.
