I counted them one by one; including the ones sitting at the table and not getting up, the illegal bookies were fifteen people. Ten of them had surrounded Toraman and Rimel, and two of them were standing right across from me.
"Miss Hostess, do you have the authority to intervene?"
I found the two girls organizing the competition from among the crowd watching us; before taking action, there was a question nagging at my mind.
"I am sorry, sir. Even though the competition areas are under our jurisdiction, we are not in a position to help you!"
The young girl was obviously very upset, but unlike her, I was seriously about to jump for joy. Especially the moment she said 'the competition area is under our control', everything became clear; no matter what we did, the security guards weren't going to come.
