(MC's POV)

Night falls as I lead La Brava, Gentle Criminal, and Kaina to the luxurious black car waiting outside my apartment building. All three of them are wearing cloaks to avoid attention from the public.

I opened the door and helped them inside, my eyes scanning the street for patrolling Pro Heroes.

Seeing the coast was clear, I shut the door just as the window slid down.

"Stay at my hotel for now. I'll contact you once everything's taken care of."

"Okay."

Kaina and Gentle nodded, but La Brava was still pouting, her arms crossed and eyes averted like an angry child.

"See ya, guys."

I nodded to the driver—a man in a suit who used to work as a bounty hunter like me.

"I'll leave them to you."

"Yes, Chief!"

The long black car pulled away, disappearing around the corner.

With that done, I returned to my room and changed into my mascot costume.

(Third Person POV)

In the Hero Public Safety Commission's conference room, an emergency meeting was underway. Top Pro Heroes had gathered, struggling to contain the chaos erupting across the country. Protests against the Commission were intensifying, and they were losing control.

"What's the meaning of this, All Might?! I thought you had him under control! Look what he's done to us!"

Endeavor tried to lunge at All Might, but both of his arms were bandaged and out of commission.

Out of the top 10 Pro Heroes present, only Endeavor had taken a serious beating from Ichika. The rest were mostly fine. Gang Orca had a bandage wrapped around his head but nothing critical.

"I'm just glad everyone's safe," All Might said nervously, guilt thick in his voice.

Mirko sat silently, her mood visibly dark. The memory of Ichika's arrest and his transfer to Tartarus weighed on her.

"Mirko, are you okay?" All Might asked, concerned.

She flinched and quickly straightened up.

"No, I'm fine! Don't mind me!"

Her reaction was awkward—very un-Mirko. Her eyes betrayed sadness as she looked down again.

"Mirko..." Ryukyu said softly, clearly worried.

The room fell silent—until a lanky, middle-aged man in formal attire finally spoke.

He had chin-length beige hair, messy and unkempt. Dark bags hung beneath his eyes, evidence of sleepless nights. He wore a black shirt over a white undershirt, black pants, a loose tie, black shoes, and a microphone clipped to his collar.

With most senior commissioners arrested for corruption, he had been tasked with leading this emergency session as the Commission scrambled to rebuild.

His name was Yokumiru Mera, one of the remaining commissioners.

"We just received bad news," he said, nervously reading an update on his tablet.

"What is it this time?!" Endeavor barked.

"Falcon has escaped Tartarus—along with Lady Nagant and Gentle Criminal. La Brava is missing as well."

The room went dead silent.

All Might didn't react—he already knew. Ichika had told him earlier.

Everyone in the room had already tasted what Ichika was capable of. The thought of him out there again made the air feel heavy.

Mirko's cheek twitched at the news.

"Ichika..."

Endeavor clenched his fists.

"Falcon!!"

Yotsubashi Rikiya—better known as Re-Destro—stood in his office in Deika City, gazing out the window while holding a printed letter in his hand.

"I'm coming for you. Prepare yourself and your army at 7:30 PM tonight. I'll kick all of you in the ass. From: Perry the Platypus."

A little drawing of a fedora sat at the top of the signature.

Re-Destro trembled with rage. He crumpled the letter and tossed it into the trash.

"What kind of prank is this?!"

Behind him stood a tall, lanky man with waist-length black hair, sharp teeth, and a nervous expression. He wore a black turtleneck, blazer, and dark pants.

This was Tomoyasu Chikazoku, a.k.a. Skeptic—a board member of Feel Good Inc. and a top strategist of the Meta Liberation Army.

"Skeptic! Have you traced the sender of this letter?!"

Skeptic gulped.

"It came from an anonymous email address based in… Africa. Which is insane. I can't trace the real location!"

"Tch! He's good. I'll make sure this Perry the Platypus pays for mocking me and my army."

Re-Destro glanced at the clock. It was five minutes before 7:30 PM.

"Skeptic, alert everyone: If anyone tries to infiltrate this building, eliminate them—by any means necessary."

"Yes, sir!"

Five minutes later…

"It's time," Re-Destro muttered just as the office doors opened.

"Huh?"

They turned to see a man enter—tall with slicked-back black hair, yellow glasses, and a small mustache. His angular features and purple-tinted lenses made him look both intimidating and elegant. He wore a standard black business suit.

Behind him was a striking woman with pale lilac hair, deep blue skin, and mesmerizing black sclera with green irises. She wore a dark off-shoulder dress and gold earrings, her look both graceful and eerie.

"Trumpet? Curious? What are you two doing here?" Skeptic asked.

"We got a message that the Grand Commander called for us," Trumpet replied, showing his phone.

"Same here." Curious held up her phone, confused.

"What? I didn't send any messages!" Re-Destro was stunned. His name had been forged.

Suddenly—

"Hey everyone! Look what I found—a lost child wandering around the building!"

Curious walked in holding a small boy wearing teal green pajamas—with a beaver tail and a bill-shaped hood.

She snuggled him affectionately.

"Kyaah~! He's so cute!"

Skeptic narrowed his eyes.

"Curious… why did you bring that kid here?"

"Relax! He's harmless. Just a lost child."

Re-Destro frowned, eyeing the outfit.

"That pajama... It looks like a platypus."

The boy smiled… and pulled out a fedora, placing it on top of his hood.

Re-Destro's eyes widened.

He remembered the fedora drawing from the letter.

"Ah… P-Perry the Platypus!"

He pointed at the child, trembling in disbelief.
