Chapter 49: Ichika's Apology

Re-Destro was fuming with rage after realizing the child was Perry the Platypus.
"A brat!? Perry the Platypus is a brat?! How dare you mess around in my territory! I'm going to kill you!"
"Krrrrrr!"
The kid responded with a platypus noise and struck a fighting stance to provoke him.
A black aura shrouded Re-Destro's face.
"The three of you, move away from that brat or you'll get caught in my attack."
Trumpet and Skeptic immediately ran off. Curious, confused by the situation, reluctantly let go of the child she was hugging.
"Eh?!"
The child remained unfazed, standing in front of the now massive Re-Destro.
Suddenly, Re-Destro's right hand enlarged and swung toward the boy, smashing through the wall of the room.
Crash!
Re-Destro grinned.
"You messed with the wrong place, brat—"
"Krrrrrr!"
"What?!"
He was stunned to find the boy standing calmly on top of his massive right arm.
The child leaped, striking Re-Destro's face with a flying kick.

"Ugh!"
Re-Destro staggered, face contorting with fury.
"Perry the Platypus!"
He swung his massive arm again, but the child dodged with ease.
"Damn it!"
Again and again, Re-Destro attacked—each swing more destructive, each one missing. His Stress quirk kept building from the frustration.
"Why won't you just die!?"
"Krrrrrr!"
"Huh?"
The child was suddenly beneath him, launching a sharp uppercut.
"Ugh!"
Re-Destro recoiled. He could feel the boy's punch had serious force behind it.
"How…?"
He stumbled into a pile of rubble.
"Krrrrrr!"
The child taunted him again with a hand wave while staying in his stance.
"Tsk!"
Blood dripped from Re-Destro's mouth as he got up, his body bulking up even more. He released 80% of his stored stress, coating himself in darkness.
"80% Liberation!"
But the boy just smiled.
"Krrrrrr!"
"To think a child could push me this far! Perry the Platypus! I'll give you something worse than death!"
Black energy gathered in Re-Destro's hands.
"Stress Output: Burden!"
The child was already above him, raising his heel.

He stomped Re-Destro's head at high speed.
"Damn it!"
Re-Destro tanked the attack, trying to grab the boy's feet—only to be kicked away again.
"What a pest!"
He noticed a flash of fire trailing from the boy's feet.
"Don't tell me… You're that famous vigilante!"
The rumors came back to him—about Captain Falcon being a child.
"If you're really him… then I'm in serious trouble!"
"Stress: 100%!!"
Re-Destro maxed out, growing more massive and powerful than ever. He released enormous waves of black energy from both hands.
BOOM!!
A giant hole tore through the building.
Peeeeew!
"Krrrrrr!"
The child avoided one blast and nullified the other. Then he closed the distance and unleashed a flurry of attacks.

BAM!BAM!BAM!Peeeeew!
"Arrrgh!"
Re-Destro gritted his teeth and tried to retaliate—but the boy was already in position.

BOOM!Peeeeew!
Re-Destro's black aura shattered as he was blasted out of the building. He crossed his arms to block, enduring the attack.
The child noticed Pro Heroes and Meta Liberation Army members surrounding the building.
Without hesitation, he jumped from the wreckage, pulling a parachute hidden in his costume and gliding out of Deika City.
"Curse you, Perry the Platypus!"
Re-Destro roared as his subordinates rushed to rescue him.
Meanwhile, at the Hero Public Safety Commission building…
Mera, currently leading the meeting, received a notification on his tablet.
"Huh? What's this?"
He tapped play—and Ichika's face appeared onscreen with a serious expression.
"Sorry for the sudden interruption, but I have something important to say to everyone."
"Ichika?"Mirko immediately recognized the voice.
Mera projected the video for the entire room to see.
Endeavor seethed.
"Falcon!"
He gritted his teeth as Ichika—still in child form—appeared.
"Ara~ Is that really Falcon? This is the first time I've seen him clearly in his child form. He's adorable."Midnight swooned.
"So cute."Mt. Lady added dreamily.
Ryukyu glanced at Mirko, who was trembling.
Ichika began his speech in the video:
"In these past incidents, you saw how terrible the trouble I caused to everyone and the pro heroes... So on that, I would like to say a word. I, Ichika would like to apologize..."
The room held its breath. Then, his lips curled into a smug smile.
"To absolutely nobody!"
Gasps all around.
Mirko's cheek twitched.
Of course he wouldn't apologize.
"It's not my fault the Commission was so awful and corrupt, right?! Right?! Don't you agree? That's why I feel like I don't have to apologize to anyone!"
He tilted his head.
"Am I wrong?"
The video cut out.
Silence fell over the room.
All Might sighed and clutched his forehead.
Everyone else burst into shouts of outrage.
"Ichika!!""Falcon!!!"
