Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Memories Awaken — Two Divine Talents

In the twenty-ninth year after the founding of Konoha, an unusual event occurred in one of the rooms of the vast Uchiha estate. A thin, six-year-old boy named Uchiha Gin sat cross-legged in deep concentration. At that moment, for the first time, he successfully cleared his chakra pathways and abruptly opened his eyes, sitting upright with a sharp gasp.

In an instant, a wave of memories flooded his consciousness—some familiar, others completely foreign. As the torrent settled, he glanced around the room in shock and whispered, "I've been reborn? Not just reborn… but into the Ninja World? And I still have memories from my past life…"

Before he could fully process everything, a mysterious voice echoed in his mind:

[First contact with extraordinary power detected. Awakening of wisdom and talents complete. You have received the talent: "Gate of Space-Time" and the talent: "Heaven Rewards the Diligent."]

In the sea of his consciousness, two mysterious runes materialized—one shaped like a glowing portal, the other a prismatic crystal. They hovered steadily, facing each other in the center of his mental space.

"Hsssh…" Gin inhaled sharply, his eyes wide with excitement."Incredible! These talents… they're exactly what I need!"

Both talents were extraordinary.

The first, the Gate of Space-Time, granted access to a private transit world—a ten-kilometer-dimensional hub connecting the world of Naruto with that of One Piece. Gin could freely travel between the two worlds through the space-time gate.

Additionally, others could travel through the gate only if their affinity with Gin reached 80 points or higher. These individuals couldn't betray him—any betrayal or breach of secrecy would erase all their achievements and memories gained through the gate.

Affinity Levels:

0–9: Stranger

10–29: Acquaintance

30–59: Ally

60–79: Trusted Companion

80–89: Close Friend

90–99: Life-and-death Companion

100: Eternal Bond

The second talent, Heaven Rewards the Diligent, enabled unlimited growth through perseverance. With enough hard work, any skill could be mastered—and even surpassed. The more precise and consistent the training, the more profound the results. Techniques, ninjutsu, and physical conditioning could all reach superhuman levels through this ability.

"Ha! With these two gifts, I finally have a future," Gin thought with relief."Otherwise, with my weak constitution—even as a member of the Uchiha clan—I might not have lived long at all."

He mentally activated his status panel, a manifestation of the second talent:

[Name]: Uchiha Gin[Talents]: Gate of Space-Time, Heaven Rewards the Diligent[Lifespan]: 6 months[Chakra Nature]: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Yin[Skills]:

Chakra Purification (1/100 – Beginner)

Traditional Medicine (2314/10,000 – Grandmaster)

Health Preservation Exercises (1/5000 – Minor Achievement)

[Skill Ranks]: Beginner → Skilled → Grandmaster → Minor Achievement → Major Achievement → Perfection

When he saw the word "six months" under lifespan, Gin's face paled.

"I knew my body was weak, but this… this is worse than I thought. Even with these heavenly talents, if I don't survive long enough, what good are they?"

He scanned his skills. Aside from chakra purification, he noticed two skills clearly inherited from his previous life, where he had been a traditional medicine doctor suffering from a terminal illness. Through sheer discipline and mastery of ancient health practices, he had lived nearly 30 years past his original diagnosis.

Now, that knowledge had followed him into this new life. But knowledge alone wasn't enough—he had to rebuild his foundation from scratch.

"We'll see if these health exercises work in this world too," Gin muttered.

He stood and began performing a familiar series of therapeutic movements from memory. After finishing, his breathing was slightly ragged, but his body felt subtly lighter.

Then—ding—a notification appeared in his mind:

[You performed Health Preservation Exercises. +1 Skill Point. +1 Day to Lifespan.]

"Huh? It really works?!"

Gin's face lit up. "Just one round gave me another day to live. If I do this multiple times a day, I can extend my life. Even one day at a time is enough to fight back!"

With temporary relief, he turned his thoughts toward long-term survival.

"I need to combine my medical knowledge with the resources of both worlds to restore my health and overcome my congenital flaws. Only then can I begin serious training."

His thoughts turned to his mother in this world—Uchiha Hikari, an elder of the Uchiha clan and the rumored originator of the forbidden Sharingan technique: Izanami.

In his past life, some speculated she lived during the Warring States Era—others said she came after Konoha's founding. Now he knew the truth—Hikari lived in the post-founding era.

"I've been too distracted," Gin thought. "Mother's health has declined too—especially in the past six months."

His instincts told him she might not have long to live without intervention. And without her support, Gin wouldn't have the influence or strength to protect himself, much less change the fate of the Uchiha or manipulate the tides of the pirate world.

"Maybe Mikoto-nee could help as well… But first, I'll teach Mother the health exercises. If that doesn't work, I'll escort her to a world-famous doctor from the pirate realm—maybe even Dr. Kureha?"

Resolved, Gin left for the living room.

There, Uchiha Hikari was already waiting, her face soft with pride.

"So fast?" she said, smiling. "Congratulations on your successful chakra purification."

She gently sensed the faint stirrings of chakra around her son. Knowing how hard he had struggled since childhood to overcome his weak constitution, her heart swelled with both joy and concern.

Initially, she had opposed Gin learning chakra control at all, fearing it would strain his fragile body. But eventually, knowing he would attempt it alone anyway, she had taught him the proper method. Now that he had succeeded, her feelings were a bittersweet mix of hope and worry.
