Chapter 89: Troublesome KidAuthor: Geraint
As soon as Ichika showed up at his own funeral, the orphanage caretaker immediately rushed at him and smacked him hard on the head.
"You troublesome kid!"
"Ouch!" Ichika yelped.
"Did you plan this all along?!"
He was being scolded intensely.
"I didn't! I thought it was someone else!"
The caretaker quickly apologized to everyone and bowed repeatedly.
"I'm really sorry about this kid!"
"Ichika! What's the meaning of this?!"
Bakugou stormed over, furious, followed closely by a happy Izuku.
"Ichika-kun, you're alive!"
"Kacchan, Deku-chan! It's been a while!"
"Ichika-kun!"
Toru ran up and jumped, hugging his neck while crying.
"Ichika-kun! Ichika-kun! You idiot!"
"I'm sorry, I'll explain everything later."
When Toru finally let go and wiped her tears, Nejire hugged him next, her eyes teary.
"I'll hear your explanation later, okay? Never do that again."
"Y-Yes, Nejire-senpai."
"Ichika-kun!"
"Huh?"
Himiko, looking excited, called out to him.
"Himiko, maybe later. I'll let you take as much time as you want, okay?"
"Yay!" Himiko smiled happily.
"Ichika!" "Boss!"
Momo and La Brava called him over.
"Momo, Hecker."
Father is an idiot, Roboco said flatly.
"Roboco, I'm sorry."
Everyone was happy to see him alive, but there was one person who looked mad when she saw several girls flocking around him.
"You're quite popular, huh, Ichika?"
He glanced stiffly to the side and saw Mirko glaring at him intensely, with Ryukyu and Lady Nagant looking equally disappointed.
"Rumi?" He started sweating profusely, voice trembling.
"Hey, Rumi… can you hear me out first?"
"No need. I'll just kick the sh*t out of you."
Mirko cracked her knuckles.
Panicked, Ichika quickly separated from Nejire and ran away.
Nigerundayo!!
"ICHIKA!!"
Mirko chased after him, throwing kicks that he dodged easily while running.
"Rumi, please listen!"
"Do you know how painful it was to see you dead?!"
"I'm sorry!"
"You idiot!!"
"I'm sorry! Please forgive me! Even I didn't know what was happening!"
The funeral quickly descended into chaos because of him being alive, as he tried to compensate for the misunderstanding. Everyone was happy and grateful that he was still alive.
Back at Might Tower, Ichika collapsed onto the couch in his workshop, exhausted after sending home the funeral attendees.
"Ugh! That was tiring."
"It's all your fault for faking your death!" La Brava retorted while working on the computer.
"I was in a coma! I didn't know what happened while I was unconscious."
"As long as Ichika-kun's alive, I'm fine," Toru said happily.
"What happened that you ended up like this?" Momo asked.
Ichika decided it was time to reveal his secret.
"Momo, you know Fujiwara Ichika, right? The acting president of the Hero Commission."
Momo's face flushed red at the name of her crush.
"Eh… of course! He's a busy pro hero and CEO of Yamagi Industries. I admire him."
While they talked, Nejire quietly sipped iced tea served by Roboco.
"It's good. Thanks!"
"That person you admire… is actually me."
"What?!"
Momo was shocked.
"How is that possible? You look so much alike, and I already suspected, but—"
"Ask your parents. They know my identity. That's why they were pushing our engagement back then."
"Ah."
Momo suddenly remembered why her parents teased him about the younger Ichika.
"No wonder."
"Also, Nejire-senpai knows because she acted as my first lady during meetings."
They glanced at Nejire, who smiled and nodded.
"He's telling the truth. Ichika, why don't you transform for them? It'd be more believable if they see it."
Ichika scratched his temple.
"About that… I lost that ability when I fought to the death with a villain boss."
"Huh?!"
Everyone was surprised.
"That's also why I was in a coma for several months."
Toru stood up and slapped Ichika across the face.
Slap!
"You idiot! How could you make us worry like that!"
She grabbed his right hand, tears in her eyes, making Ichika feel a little guilty.
"I'm sorry, Toru…"
Realizing she'd hurt him, she released his hand and ran out.
"I'm sorry!!"
"Toru!" Ichika tried to follow, but the others stopped him.
"Give her time. She was the most devastated."
"Okay…"
He sighed and sat back down.
"So, what happened these last three months?"
Roboco answered.
About that, Father… a few months ago, Grandpa All Might retired as No. 1 Pro Hero and stepped down from the frontlines.
"Huh? Why? It's too soon!"
Grandpa didn't tell me the details, so ask him yourself.
"What's he doing now? He's the Symbol of Peace!"
While you were in a coma, bombers attacked the Tokyo Sky Egg and destroyed the building. Grandpa rushed in to save people—not once, but twice. He ran out of time and his secret identity was exposed. Crime rates went up, and he had to deal with a lot. So now, Grandpa announced his retirement publicly.
Ichika stood up, troubled.
"This is my fault! If I weren't incompetent, none of this would happen. Rising crime rates prove it."
He lifted his left hand, and two gemstones floated in his palm.
"Where's Father?"
He's currently at a media conference. That's why he didn't attend your funeral.
"I'm not dead anyway."
"Where are you going?" Momo asked.
"You guys watch TV. I have something important to say to the world. Sorry, I have to go."
A wormhole appeared behind Ichika and swallowed him as he vanished.
"No way… he really was that man all along. No wonder he disappeared so fast." Momo whispered.
Roboco grabbed a TV and turned it on. All Might, in his deflated form, bowed before the media and apologized for retiring. People nationwide panicked seeing the Symbol of Peace's weakened form revealed.
Suddenly, a wormhole opened above All Might. Someone jumped out and landed beside him, surprising everyone.
"Huh? Ichika?"
"Sorry, Father, but I can't take it anymore!"
Ichika bowed before the media, serious.
"I'm sorry!"
The media was stunned.
"Did you hear that?"
"Yes, he just called All Might his father!"
"No way—that's the rumored son?"
"So he is All Might's son!"
People had mixed reactions hearing about All Might's child.
Ichika took the microphone again.
"To all villains hiding in the shadows! You might be celebrating my father's retirement, but he's still active as a veteran hero with limited time. If you think you're safe, don't forget—I'm still here. Villains are my pocket money. Do evil, get famous, and I'll collect the bounty!"
All Might looked astonished.
"Ichika, don't tell me!"
Ichika raised his right fist, aflame with fire and lightning. The flames shaped like a bird as he launched his signature punch, shocking the media.

The public finally learned the truth about the pink-haired teenager. Rumors about Captain Falcon being a child were true—and he was All Might's son.
Cheers erupted nationwide. Captain Falcon was going to be the next Symbol of Peace, keeping the country safe for generations.
"Ichika…"
Sweating heavily and looking strained, Ichika spoke again.
"I can't take it anymore. Sorry, but I have to take a dump."
He dashed backstage, leaving an awkward silence.
"…."
All Might broke the silence.
"I apologize for my troublesome kid."
The media swarmed him with questions.
