Chapter 111 - Chapter 103: UA Entrance Exam

Chapter 103: UA Entrance ExamAuthor: Geraint

- 10 Months Later -

In the workshop, Ichika was helping Toru and Himiko study for their entrance exam.

"Ugh! This is too hard!" Toru slumped onto the table.

"Ichika-kun, I'm thirsty." Himiko stared at his neck while drooling.

"These are just the basics. If you want to pass, you have to put in more effort."

Momo served tea and snacks to the three of them.

"I'm really envious. Yao-Momo and Ichika-kun don't have to study much because you two are so intelligent," Toru mumbled.

"Toru-san, don't put me in the same category as Ichika. Unlike him, who skips classes by using Himiko's quirk, I actually work hard. I got in through special recommendation and took the UA Recommendation Exam," Momo complained.

"How was it?" Ichika asked.

Momo blushed slightly. "I'm confident I'll pass."

"I see... Congratulations then." Ichika smiled.

Momo looked away, embarrassed. "...Thank you."

Toru noticed something between them and frowned. "Ichika, what about you? Aren't you going to be recommended by your father? He's a teacher at UA after all."

"I'm still working as a Pro Hero until two weeks before my Hero License expires. After that, I have to graduate from a Hero School to renew it." Ichika looked dejected, remembering he still had to go to school.

"A Pro Hero going to school? Wouldn't that be unfair to the other students?" Momo pointed out.

"Yeah, there are only a few slots at Hero School," Toru agreed.

"I might have already been accepted at UA High, but don't worry. The principal told me I'll be in a special class separate from the Hero department. I won't count toward the student limit."

"What does that mean?" Momo asked curiously.

"I don't know. We'll find out on the first day. The principal will explain."

"See! Ichika is on another level. As expected of the next Symbol of Peace," Momo said. Ichika didn't seem interested in the title.

"And because of that, I became some kind of womanizer," he added.

Everyone in the room went silent.

A few days later, in front of the UA exam building, Ichika sent off Toru and Himiko.

"We're going now, Ichika-kun."

Toru seemed a little nervous, while Himiko was excited.

"Don't forget your promise last night."

"Yeah, good luck to you two. Just remember what I said and believe in yourselves," Ichika reminded them.

"See ya later!"

They waved and entered the building.

"Hm?"

Ichika noticed two familiar people approaching.

"Damn it, Deku! Why are you following me here?!"

"Ichika-kun said he was already accepted at UA. Was it bad to follow our friend?"

"I didn't apply here to follow him!"

It was Bakugou and Izuku walking together.

"Kacchan<3, Deku-chan, good luck on the exam! I hope you guys get in my class," Ichika waved with a smug smile.

"Ichika-kun..." Izuku was speechless.

"Damn you, Ichika! Don't get ahead of yourself just because you got accepted first! Once we're in the same class, I'll leave you in the dust! Don't forget that!" Bakugou yelled, pointing at his chest.

"Sure, why not? I hope Deku-chan passes too. Let's, the Idiot Trio, take the top of UA!" Ichika proclaimed.

"I'll take the No. 1 spot!"

"Sure, if you can beat me," Ichika smiled conceitedly at Bakugou.

"You bastard, prepare yourself!" Bakugou stared fiercely.

"Hehe... It's a lot of pressure just trying to catch up with you two," Izuku smiled nervously.

Suddenly, as she stepped forward, Izuku tripped.

"Huh?"

Someone tapped her back and saved her from falling. She was levitating in mid-air, surprised.

"Hehe... Are you okay?"

A girl in a middle school uniform spoke kindly. She was short with a curvy figure, fair skin, auburn hair, and matching eyes. Her cheeks were perpetually pink, and her large round eyes had thick upper lashes.

"I stopped you with my Quirk. Sorry, I didn't ask first. I figured you wouldn't mind me catching you."

Izuku looked dazed, while the girl looked nervous too.

"This is all so nerve-wracking."

"I-I-I—" Izuku stammered, flustered. Ichika was confused—both of them were girls now.

"Well, guess I'll see you inside. Bye!" The girl went ahead.

"Huh? What's wrong with Deku-chan? Is this her first time talking with a girl?"

"I don't know! She's only hung out with us since childhood!"

"I guess that's unfortunate."

"Watch your back, Ichika!" Bakugou went inside.

Ichika smiled at his childhood friends.

"Time flies fast."

Several days later,

Ichika sat on Bakugou's back as Bakugou lay on the ground, face beaten up.

"Ugh... Damn you, Ichika!"

"You haven't changed, Kacchan. At least you're a bit stronger since last time," Ichika sipped juice from a convenience store.

"Damn it!" Bakugou slammed his fist on the ground.

"But congratulations on passing UA, Kacchan." Ichika patted his shoulder.

"Ichika-kun!"

Izuku ran up to them, teary-eyed.

"Ichika-kun, I passed! I'm in the hero course just like you!"

When Izuku jumped at them, Ichika quickly stood and grabbed Bakugou's head, using him as a shield.

"Kacchan Barrier!!"

Kacchan Barrier: The power of friendship blocks any attack using one's own friend.

Bakugou was squeezed in Izuku's embrace, her chest pressing against his, turning him red.

Ichika smiled.

"Congratulations, Deku-chan. Now the three of us will be at the same school."

The two rejoiced while Bakugou suffered.

"Ichika, I'll never forget this!"

"Yay!!"

The three group-hugged.

Meanwhile, in the workshop, Toru and Himiko celebrated with others after passing the exam, hugging each other.

"We did it!" Toru cried happily.

"Yeah."

"Congratulations to you two," Momo said, placing a cake on the table.

Roboco and La Brava clapped happily.

"Congratulations on entering UA!" Nejire joined their group hug.

Belfast and 2B watched from the sidelines.

"2B, don't you want to attend school too?"

If Master wants, I'll go.

"It's boring here without Ichika. Since we're his android creations, we can go to school too."

Is that possible, Belfast?

"Of course. We're talking about Ichika here."

Roboco approached.

Is it possible to attend the same school as Father?

"Yes. Just tell him and he'll arrange it. He sees you as his real daughter."

Belfast patted her head.

La Brava came over, holding a letter.

"Roboco, there's a letter for you."

Huh?

Roboco opened the letter slowly and read.

Belfast read along, surprised.

"He sure works fast. What a doting parent. Congratulations, Roboco, on entering UA High."

(To be continued.)
