The current building was where one of the talent agencies existed within the entertainment department of the White Storm.
Those who were there were mostly trainees who had been in their first year of training, unless they had been moved over from another branch that was located somewhere else.
Since the White Storm had only set up their business in the New World some time ago before gradually expanding further, there were places that had already begun to make a lot of progress, while others were still in their infancy of development.
For those who were accepted to be given training and potentially be given a job, they needed to meet certain requirements and be able to pass certain tests.
Some start out much younger as they would be given more suitable roles that were more suited to their age range and lack of experience, like there being a smaller department primarily made up of child performers that were between the ages of four and thirteen.
Certain measures needed to be put into place so that children of those ages would have a guardian who would consent to their child being cast for certain roles and to provide extra cooperation if necessary.
Most of the other trainees were older than thirteen, and they could be involved in the real training and tests to help them get selected for further support, as the weakest and least profitable would be weeded out.
The recruitment was open every so often, but those recruited into the training programs would have to be able to handle what they would be put through daily if they wished to be able to qualify for a permanent position and receive support in their career.
The age range of those recruited tended to favour those who were still quite young in terms of age, since it would be much easier to make young and beautiful people stars over time rather than someone who was older and past their prime.
There were some older people who had talent and looks, but marketing them was usually more difficult since they needed to be marketed toward a certain fanbase that was slightly smaller than the fanbase that could be gained by someone younger.
It did not mean that the White Storm did not recruit those who were past the age of twenty-five, but it did mean that there were stricter requirements and tests in place for them.
Depending on what type of job role they would be taking on would affect such things too, since there would be cases where certain roles would require their appearance to meet certain standards, while others would not be that much of an issue since their looks would not be used.
An example of that would be someone who did voice acting, so they would never actively appear in front of a live audience or be filmed.
If they were applying to be a model, then it was more of a requirement for them to be able to have an appearance that was a little better than average, so that they had extra appeal, which could help them in their career in many ways.
The White Storm could promote one of their rising stars to others, but if they did not look good on paper, then there would be some places that would not be so willing to give them a chance before they could try to prove themselves suitable for a role.
Aizah and Marceline wandered the halls as they looked inside each room while their escort gave them information about promising candidates who had passed through the trials and had potential.
Marceline was busy taking notes as she followed along until she paused in front of a door, and then she took a little more time to observe than usual. "What about him?"
The male assistant who was escorting them paused before taking a look inside.
They thought for a moment before going over the files that they carried. "Where is it... ah! Here he is. Failed to qualify for promotion several times.... below average performance in many areas. He does not have the right look that we have been looking for.
If there was anything that stood out about him, then it was that he is taking more than one course and that he puts in a lot of time and effort to improve. The main issue is his intimidating appearance, which is less appealing than other candidates."
The young man inside the room was practicing alone as they were sweating a lot from all of the exercises he had repeated.
He had short silver hair that was styled in a bowl cut, purple eyes, and his skin was slightly paler than others.
Some features gave him more of an intimidating appearance, like how his eyes were quite sharp and menacing, while his taller size would add to that if he towered over others who were smaller than him.
His face was not too attractive, but it was better than average, and he had several sharp features.
Marceline thought for a moment as she observed him. "If I remember correctly, there should be certain fan bases that need to be targeted using certain characteristics. Those were the notes that had been given by Alyssia Lucine."
Her words were directed toward Aizah, who recalled them a moment later. "Ah yes... I remember now. Why are you bringing that up now?"
Marceline pointed toward the young man who was resting a moment after finishing his routine. "He may fit one of the categories of what we are looking for. Although he has failed to pass through the usual tests, he does have a more diverse skillset."
Aizah looked thoughtful for a moment before commenting. "You must mean the bad boy persona star. He does seem like a good fit. It is good to have a more diverse skillset rather than excelling in one area.
I will have to amend things to make things a little easier for some to get past the tests if they are taking on more of them at once. That way, it would be much more lenient toward those who take on more but end up falling behind on individual parts.
While we do want those who can specialize in one area of expertise, our stars would still be better if they had more than one thing to rely on."
