Those areas included forms of radiation, genetic abnormalities, inherent weaknesses, chemicals, poisons, serums, viruses, diseases and much more.
They began exploring ways to understand more about them and their overall effects on the body, along with the limitations of what normal exposure rates could be applied to different body types of different health and physical conditions.
If there was some form of application of some of them that could be used for medical purposes to cure something else, then it was worth investigating further.
An example of that would be using radiation therapy that uses high-intensity energy to destroy cancer cells and shrink tumours.
Not only those things, but they went on to study all kinds of things that could help them to improve their understanding of the body as a whole, which included further study of the Lineage Factor and things like Haki.
As that was taking place, Alyssia was assisting Nica with her research that was more aimed toward creating energy sources, so some of them ended up being included in the discussions that Alyssia was having with Tristan over how they could be used medically.
With the help of the system as they went through their projects, they were able to avoid setbacks and the usual issues that came with any need to test things out through trial and error.
If there was already enough data collected on the system that could be calculated well enough once added together, then all that needed to be done was to record the results so that the data could be added to it as something that could be developed further.
Where there was usually a lot of testing needed to be done on living subjects, the system allowed a lot of it to not be necessary unless there was a high need to do so to identify a key part of it that the system had yet to calculate.
If it was not complete, then a less effective model that was safer could be tested, so that there would be less risk involved, so that would be a slower process for researching, but it ensured that there were no sacrifices being made.
If there were some hopeless cases of an incurable state that someone was living with, as there was no existing cure them there were some people who were still searching for a way to keep living, while some had already resigned to their fates.
Those people were found and brought over to Egghead Island by the White Storm so that they could undergo the trial tests that suited them more, so it was not like the tests were being done on people who did not need or want them.
What was most important about it all was that there were no deaths from unexpected variables that had not been predicted by the system.
Even if they were not cured as a result of them not being effective enough or there being something missing, they were still in a good enough condition that the cause could be found before things worsened.
As more data was collected, the system calculated everything, allowing new adjustments to be made that would be more suitable, causing their situation to stabalize and improve.
In between all of that, Alyssia was still taking trips off Egghead Island to make some extra Beri by capturing some dangerous unaffiliated pirates that were causing problems nearby.
Scrapping and selling their ships and cargo along with everything else was just as helpful toward funding her activities, but it was not enough for her at times, as she felt her funds draining away as more things needed to be done.
She had even taken some time to make quick trips to Wano to see Yamato to see how things were going while trying to look for more ways to expand the White Storm further.
The forms of Alyssia and Yamato could be seen sitting, drinking together in a dark cave as they both leaned close with their shoulders touching.
Both of them looked a little tipsy as many gourds of sake had been lying on their side with the top left open, showing clear signs of how much they had drunk together.
Yamato smacked the arm of Alyssia as she put on a light smile. "Ah… it is good to share times like these. It gets so lonely here, so it is nice that you keep visiting."
Ever since she heard news of Portgas D Ace's death, things seemed almost hopeless as she returned to her life of having no expectations for her father or those around him.
Living in exile, as nobody was allowed to get close to her, and anyone who offered her help was targeted by the Beast Pirates under Kaido.
Yamato had to survive under such conditions or submit to her father, who was overbearing in the way he had decided how she would live her life.
They could never truly understand each other as a normal father and daughter, since Kaido wanted a certain life for her, but that was not what she wanted for herself.
The problems in her life started once she started to become honest about her dreams, which was only met with his terrible response that could only be called abusive.
It was easier for her to open up to those who held no fear toward her father, as they were less likely to cave under his great pressure in ways that would make them suffer or be swayed enough to leave her side.
Ace was unflinching back when they met, even when her father was mentioned, and Alyssia was the same, so that let them get closer.
What mattered just as much was that Alyssia kept her promise and came back again.
For anyone who suffered a terrible situation, having it happen again was something that they would worry about, as the same thing or something else could end up happening, so Alyssia could have broken her promise about returning.
Having Alyssia there was very reassuring for her and made her feel more at ease.
Yamato was strong-willed, but everyone had insecurities that they had to battle against.
