The natural light energy radiating from the stones would be what would affect its surroundings, like how certain influences in environments created more ideal conditions for the growth of other resources.
Once the day came, the group began searching the mountain and the nearby caves they explored until they finally started to come across the different types of plants they were looking for.
Progress started to be made for each of them as they got closer to being able to complete the objective for which they had arrived there for.
Meanwhile, back on Blue Star, Alyssia had already arrived to meet up with the person who had been looking for her.
There had been a couple of private meetings to catch up with those she had not seen in some time, but it was the first time being face-to-face with the current person.
Trafalgar Law was someone whom Alyssia did not expect to have much of a reason to meet up with.
He was seated opposite her with a serious look on his face.
Alyssia observed him quietly for a moment as she looked him up and down. "So… why have you wanted to meet me?"
Trafalgar Law studied her as he considered how to word things. "I wish to use your power. Not everything has been going well for me recently, so I have considered much. I believe that you would be the most suitable person to work with.
I did consider another approach, but… There is no open spot available right now, and it is unlikely another spot will be something I can negotiate for."
Alyssia pondered to herself. 'I see… my actions have created some changes. Although I had heard that Law participated in some events like he was supposed to, my having a Seven Warlord position has changed some things.'
Edward Weevil ended up taking the other vacant position so that only leaving Law, who could not achieve his goal.
His original plan would have been to use the many hearts he collected from the events that took place on Hachinosu that involved Kobi, Blackbeard and him, as each of them played a part in it all.
What was supposed to happen was that Law would have to offer up those hearts to the Marines in order to earn a position as a Warlord.
Alyssia did consider such changes happening, but she needed the position of Warlord for most of the things she had benefited from so far.
She did try to look into some matters related to the news of the world and how others were faring, but there did not seem to be much on Law since then.
Law knit his brows before seriously explaining. "I have a plan in mind that could prove beneficial in many ways to you. My Devil Fruit ability could be of great use to you. If I am successful, then I could provide you with information."
Alyssia began to think to herself once again. 'Ah yes… very useful. Having him owe me would be good since I could ask him to use that power one day to achieve any purpose I desire.
He probably intends to use information he could gather from his little operation against Doflamingo to let the White Storm profit from it all. Maybe getting useful contacts and suppliers that Caesar uses or something similar.
If it is information or something else, then I am afraid that I have taken such things long ago with the aid of the system. Now I just need to figure out how I could help… what type of position would be suitable.'
Alyssia did not need anything that could be obtained through the system unless it was newly updated things, but it was already very likely that she had long surpassed Caeser.
Alyssia calmly spoke. "I can consider using you for your abilities in the future. If I call upon you, then you must be ready to repay me without any funny business. If you can provide helpful things, then I can agree if it is helping obtain sources of resources."
She paused for a moment before continuing. "However… working with a pirate will come with costs and damage to my organization. There needs to be proper compensation for using my name and position.
So… what exactly did you have in mind?"
Law remained quiet as he calculated everything in his mind, especially when Alyssia was responding to him without showing rejection. 'She seems… a little more willing than I thought she would be.
I thought that I would have had to work harder to persuade her.'
"Room."
An invisible room from his abilities spread out as it expanded further until Law made a rotational movement of his hand with two fingers pointing up.
Several stones that had been taken out of his pockets were scattered on the table, but they suddenly disappeared before being replaced with many small sacks that piled up on the desk. "This is my payment.
I want a strong enough position to give me sufficient freedom and protection that only a Warlord could provide."
Alyssia nodded slowly as she considered his words. "How interesting. Our ages are not too far apart, so…"
She looked a little mischievous as she finished her sentence. "How about a marriage? The position as the partner of a Warlord is much better than anything else that could be made available."
The face of Law became stunned in that moment as his mouth hung open.
He froze on the spot as if he had never expected her to suddenly say such a thing.
Never had he ever imagined that he would be given an offer of marriage, especially from Alyssia.
What he was hoping for was to be included in the ranks of the White Storm or be given a position under Alyssia directly so that her position could provide him certain allowances, like how others under the Warlords were treated.
It was just like how the subordinates under Doflamingo were able to get away with so much without being bothered by the Marines, who could get in their way and come after them if they did not have that type of protection.
