The mind of Law started to work once more as he thought to himself. 'Although it is not what I wish for… that type of position could work. It does not need to be permanent as we would just be using each other.'
He started to rationalise the situation rather than let his emotions get in the way which let him reach that conclusion quickly. "So are you proposing a contactual marriage? What are the terms?"
A smile appeared on the face of Alyssia. "I am glad to know that you did not outright reject the idea. I hear you have a Mink on your crew so maybe you will not reject the idea as much as others."
Meanwhile in her mind. 'Aaaah! This is so unexpected but so fun!'
The relationship and marroage issue had always become something that others had bothered her about.
There had been marriage offers coming her way for a while and some among them were a little more forceful and demanding.
Even her parents had been nagging for her to get into a relationship but she had no big plans.
One of the issues was the age range or difference that came from her mental age being higher than the actual age of her body.
Law was around twenty five years old so the age difference between them both was not too large when it came to her physical age.
His age was not too much of an issue when it came to her mental age since she had spent many of those added together years as a baby and a child which did not do much for her mental maturity.
Even if she added both lives together, she would be no older than thirty eight or so years old but a lot of that was spent in her youth and not much of it as a mature adult.
Sometimes a larger age did not always mean that someone was more mentally mature than others as some could be far wiser and mature than someone older than them.
Even Alyssia had to admit that she still had some immature moments that she had not yet grown out of so the age of twenty five was not too old or too young for the current her.
The other important point was that she was not too attracted to those of the Mink tribe.
She may have liked being a Mink but when it came to those she had a special interest or preference for, she did not really have liking for furries as a romantic interest.
She still had the soul of a human who had normal tastes that had crossed over even when she had been reborn so she was a furry that had a preference toward humans or mostly human appearances.
What she never expected was to run into Trafalgar Law who was among those who were her favourite characters in the series.
What caught her interest was that he looked better in person than how he did in the manga or the anime.
She did not mind too much if the marriage betwen them was real or fake but it did seem fun to play out that kind of role for however long it would last.
What made things slightly better was that he quite suited her as someone who would be less rejecting toward her as some humans would.
There would be many humans who would have very racist views or would heavily reject the idea of having a close relationship with someone of the Mink tribe whether it was as a friend or something closer.
Finding a partner who suited her preferences would not be so easy especially when there was such a clear barrier between a lot of the races in the world.
Law happened to fit in with those who would be slightly more accepting to the idea in her opinion since the second in command to Law in the Heart Pirates was Bepo who was from the Mink Tribe on Zou.
Things just seemed to fit quite well so the idea started to seem a little better the more that she thought about it.
If she had a relationship known to the public then that could take away some of the offers and demands that kept coming her way so she could use Law as a shield.
If she was to make others believe that then they needed to be able to be comfortable with each other enough to be able to make it look natural and convincing enough.
If they looked repulsed and rejecting toward the slightest touch or public displays of affection then it would never work out.
If there was one more important point then it was that Law was already quite the famous figure in the world among the Worst Generation but his kill count and other misdeeds were far lower than others.
With his abilities, he could do so much that killing his opponents was quite unnecessary while there were others in the Worst Generation that had caused far more destruction and bloodshed like Eustas Kidd.
If there was anyone to ally with that would cause less damage to her then it would be Law.
What was just as important was that he had ties to the main progression of future events so he could not be allowed to stray further off course.
Things needed to be put back to how they should have been even if some details were tweaked a little.
If an unexpected variable arose from it all then it could still be handled so long as things did not get too far out of control.
Law was one of the more strategically minded of the Worst Generation and he stuck to his plans more than those who were willing to betray their allies and break any promises they made.
If there was anyone among them who could be trusted to uphold a contract then it was him and his capabilities made it so that he would not be reckless enough to do something without drawing up a solid plan.
The troubles that he could bring to her would be far lower than anything the others could bring to her.
The both of them discussed the contact terms carefully as they both had their intentions and goals in mind.
The contract itself was limited to two years but the things discussed would last until both sides had completed what was required of them.
