The sound of Gwens' punch echoing through the base, everyone in front of us got supesied expressions on their faces when it happened.
Save for Aunt May.
"Peter."
"Yes Gwen my dear?" I innocently asked.
"Why did you just quote Star Wars right now?"
"Because I'm me." I replied. Like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Hearing my response Gwen sighed. She then moved to say something else, only to stop and then begin simply shaking her head in resignation.
"Um, I don't mean to interrupt you kiddos, but what's this Star Wars you just mentioned?" Noir asked.
When he did I faced him. "Only one of the most epic and iconic space opera adventure series of all time." I replied. "But based on the way you're dressed I suppose it doesn't exist where you're from."
"Got it in one kid." Noir told me.
Who sounds exactly like Nicholas Cage by the way.
"A shame." I replied. I then turned my gaze to Peni and Ham. "So, what about you two?"
"Oh yes, Star Wars exists in my world." Peni happily spoke.
"Same for me." Ham replied. "I just love that one scene were Duck Vader reveals he's Eagle Skywalkers father." He explained.
"Wait, wait, wait, stop." Gwen suddenly said. "How did this go from a serious moment to a discussion about Star Wars?"
"Because it just did." I simply replied.
"Agh!!"
Only to cry out in pain and fall to my knees a second later.
Along with Gwen and the others as all our bodies began to glitch, for lack of a better word.
But in reality it feels like my body is being pulled apart and then snapped back together like a rubber band.
Which is definitely not fun.
Though thankfully the sensation only lasted for a few seconds before all of us returned to normal.
Once we did all of us stood back to our feet.
"Okay, someone want to tell me what that was?" Gwen asked.
"Our bodies experiencing cellular degredation, likely because we were forcibly pulled into this dimension. Obviously." I spoke.
"Yeah." Peni agreed.
"I mean it's common sense." Ham agreed.
"Maybe to you eggheads." Noir commented.
"So you're saying you're not a bit of a scientist yourself?" I asked.
"I never said that." Noir replied. "I just said what you all are talking about barely makes a lick of sense to me."
"Likely because the world you come from hasn't advanced that far yet in terms of science and technology." I mused. "Unless it has?" I questioned. "You know what, let's just settle this by introducing our ourselves." I said. "I'll go first."
Reaching up I pulled off my mask. "Hello all, my name is Peter Benjamin Parker and I'm Spider-Man." I explained.
I then pointed to Gwen.
"And this lovely women next to me is my girlfriend and fellow spider from the same world, Ghost-Spider." I introduced.
Once I did Gwen actually took off her mask.
"Yes, I'm Ghost-Spider. But my real name is Gwen Stacy." She revealed.
The two of us then told the others a bit about our world.
After we did they all introduced themselves, a bit about their own worlds, and how they ended up in this one.
All the same stuff from the film.
"Okay, now that introductions are out of way let's really get down to business. Namely finding a way home." I spoke.
"But to do that we would need to figure out how we all got here in the first place." Ham said.
"That's actually the easy part." May spoke.
Having just stayed silent and off to the side while we spiders talked amongst ourselves.
Moving over to a board, she pointed at the picture in the center of it.
Which was none other than this realities version of Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk.
"Kingpin." Gwen mused.
"So, he exists in your reality as well." May said.
"He does." I replied. "And just like yours ours is a bad man, who we intend to stop."
"Then I wish you luck." May said. "And succeed where...my Peter failed..." She trailed off.
Getting a sad expression on her face.
None of saying a word as May had her moment.
Given she just lost her nephew and only remaining family in the world.
A few minutes passed before May recovered.
"Alright. I'm better. Thank you for wating."
"No, it's no trouble at all Mrs. Parker." Gwen spoke.
"The kiddos right. Take all the time you need." Noir commented.
"I appreciate the sentiment but there's no time to waste. At least for all of you. Since if we don't get you home quickly it seems like you won't go home at all." May said.
She then proceeded to explain about Kingpin and his relationship to the super collider.
As well as how her Peter went to stop him, and ended up dead.
Once she was done all of us nodded in understanding.
"Okay, so we know how we got here, now all we need to do is figure a way back." Ham said.
"Well obviously if the super collider brought us here it can send us home." Peni mused.
"Yeah, but to get to it we'd have to go through Kingpin and his goons." Gwen mused.
"Then I say we stop standing around here gabbin and go force this fatty Fisk to use the machine to send us all home." Noir proposed.
"And then what?" I asked him. "Even if we get home what about this world when Fisk uses the machine again after we're gone?" I asked. "No, before we do anything we need to take a minute and come up with at least some sort of plan."
"Peter is...right." Aunt May spoke.
"Ah, May. You don't have to call me Peter if you don't want to. Instead you can call me Pete." I told her.
(A/N:When it comes to multiverse stuff my MC will be referred to as Pete from now on)
Since I don't want to cause the woman an more uncomfort than she is already experiencing.
"Okay." May agreed. "And once again, thank you." She said. "Now as I was saying, Pete is right. You all need to take some time and come up with a plan. Don't go blindly rushing in. I mean you're all Spider-Men aren't you? Then act like it." She said.
No one being able to speak up against Aunt May's words.
Huh, guess all versions of her across the multiverse have this power.
Because my Aunt May definitely does.
"Good." Aunt May said. "Okay, with that settled, it's time for dinner." She spoke.
May then forced all of us upstairs to eat and enjoy a nice home-cooked meal.
No one arguing with her, and no one complaining as we ate.
Then once we did all of us headed back down to the base of this realities Peter.
Once we did I acquired an empty flash drive from May, went to sit at the computer, and booted it up.
Before I got to work.
Gwen coming over to me as I did.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Downloading stored files from the computer of this realities Peter. Such as the schematics for his base, and the various vehicles we saw. Along with information he has on relevant individuals in this world, in particular heroes and villains." I explained. "Since even if we come from a different realities there might be enough similarities between our two universes for this information to be relevant." I said.
But from the files I've skimmed and downloaded already I know it is.
"I see." Gwen mused. "Carry on then." She said.
Going off on her own again, and leaving me to my work.
Which took me a few hours to finish, but it would definitely be worth it in more ways than one when Gwen and I returned to our own reality.
After I finished this I hung out with the other Spiders, until another day passed.
When May returned to the base once more.
Bringing with her three more spiders.
Gwen from Earth-65.
Peter from Earth-616.
Then finally the newest Spider himself, and future Spider-Man of this reality, Miles Morales.
Seeing them all I smiled under my mask.
For the fun is now about to begin.
