"Think what you will, Erika," Fen Xiaoxiao replied smoothly, refusing to let her composure crack. "A royal has to marry a royal. Your brother's temporary infatuation with that sour-faced woman means nothing to me."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night in your freezing kingdom," Erika shot back with a smug smile.
Before the two princesses could escalate their bickering any further, the side doors of the ballroom swung open. Butlers and maids rushed in, perfectly synced. They carried trays of fried meaty dishes and sides of crisp vegetables.
"Woah…" Maia whispered, amazed as she watched a maid bring a tray and place a set of plentiful food before her.
It was a complete course.
There was a staple food, a bunch of bowls filled with different meats cooked in various ways, vegetables carefully plated with glittering sauces, and refreshing drinks. Unlike the breakfast, the lunch was extremely extravagant.
