Isabella asked in confusion, "Why?"
Becca suppressed the sob rising in her throat and replied, "I think the Geoffrey family wouldn't like it."
"Are you talking about Mr. Geoffrey?"
Becca looked out the window with blurred eyes and said nothing more.
Another week had passed.
That morning, because of a meeting scheduled for ten, Becca began preparing the meeting materials at nine.
But who would have thought, when Becca went to make copies of the materials, she realized she'd left the documents Manager Smith needed for today's meeting at home...
