"What happened?" - Cloud asked as he felt his memories blur.
"You took the mental attack from that thing for all of us" - replied Yue as she let out a sigh of relief - "It seems like the monster used up a lot of its mana because it didn't make any moves"
"However, until recently it started to writhe in pain and expel a strange liquid from its eyes" - added Tio as she frowned.
"Was it because you broke his spell?" - Shizuku asked seriously.
"No, it wasn't that, that thing got into my head" - answered Cloud as he slowly recalled what had happened in his dream - "It tried to use my deepest sleep to try to break me, but I managed to kill it in my subconscious, I guess the damage affected it in the real world too".
The girls looked at each other before nodding.
Cloud looked up to observe the creature, which was still writhing.

And it was just as he had thought, the creature had taken massive damage from being killed in his dreams, though that didn't take away from the fact that it had left a bad taste in his mouth to kill his mother yet again.
"Are you alright Cloud?" - Yue asked as she noticed the change in the blond boy's expression.
"Yeah, I just kept thinking about the past," Cloud replied as he stood up and got on his guard, after all, this was the best chance they had.
[I didn't expect you to defeat me, irregular] - muttered the monster as he focused all his eyes on the young blond - [I guess you're crueler than I thought, though I'm confused.... Why do you wish to be reunited with the person you killed]?
The girls' eyes widened, surprised at these words because this information was new to them.
Cloud was silent before letting out a long breath - "Because I want to make things right, I want to apologise for being useless, I want my redemption, and even if she hates me, I want to know that she'll be okay from now on..."
The monster simply remained silent before standing at attention, though its movements were much slower than before.
Seeing that the final moment had arrived, Cloud ordered a joint attack in order to remove as much HP as possible from the beast before anything worse happened.
The girls quickly launched themselves at the monster as Cloud began to channel a massive amount of mana into it.

"[Tetra Nova]!" - Yue exclaimed as she created an elemental blast right at the centre of the creature, though she quickly noticed that she had been the only one to perform the attack. Slowly, she looked around, noticing how all of her companions were static with their vacant eyes.
[I knew it, this was the best time...] - muttered the monster as it began to let out a laugh, only for its body to start glowing a deep blood red colour - [It's time to end this!]
Cloud fell silent before watching in terror as the creature began to channel all of its remaining power.

Cloud's expression darkened as he gritted his teeth, though it changed again when he read a pop-up screen that had appeared in the corner of his vision.

Cloud gritted his teeth even harder because this was his only chance, he had to bet everything on this new magic, and pray that it would be effective enough to stop the monster.
[That's what I've been waiting to see, your ragged desperation!] - roared the [Dream Eater] as he let out a cackle full of madness - [Feel the desolation of being unable to do anything for your companions! See them being devoured, leaving only an empty shell! Feel the power of my ultimate attack!]
Cloud shot a glance at Yue, who seemed to be trying his best to wake up Tio and the others, though no matter how hard he tried, nothing seemed to be effective.
The blond let out a long sigh before rushing at the monster.
[Do you really think you can stop me?] - the monster asked disdainfully as he laughed again - [You don't have the power to kill me in such a short time, irregular!]
Cloud didn't respond, he continued to run as the monster gloated in his victory, to the point where he wasn't even defending himself. It was as if the [Dream Eater] wished that his opponent would get close enough to see his despair, to taste his pain.
[Warning! Monster, [Dream Eater] is about to finish channeling his ultimate attack! Time remaining... 10 seconds]
Cloud gritted his teeth as he felt his body shudder as he saw that the time in which the fusion of his magics would end, was 15 seconds - "Yue, delay channeling that thing, at least 6 seconds!"
Yue shot Cloud a glance before casting a quick incantation - "[Delay]..."
The monster's expression froze for a few seconds before returning to normal - [Useless! All your efforts are useless, you can't stop my ultimate attack, not even with the temporary manipulation of god-age magics!]
"[Delay]..." - Yue continued as she gritted her teeth because manipulating the time of such a powerful monster, made its mana consumption stratospheric - "[Delay]..."
"Useless! Useless! Useless! USELESS!" - roared the monster as it let out a mighty laugh, though its expression changed to one of surprise when it felt something touch its slimy exterior - [¿?]
"I wasn't trying to stop your channeling... I was just trying to delay it..." - Cloud muttered as he looked carefully at the monster - "Please don't fail me, luck..."
Yes, for the first time in his entire journey, Cloud truly wished for a miracle, a plot armor that would get him out of this situation because he didn't want other allies of his to fall in front of his eyes.
"Please..." - Cloud muttered as he watched the fusion counter end.

Cloud's eyes widened as he felt the information of his new ability pop right into his head, only to feel a huge smile appear on his lips.
The monster felt something strange when he saw this expression, but nothing mattered anymore because he was about to finish off the irregular's group.
"I'm sorry, this is it..." - Cloud muttered as the aura around him changed drastically .
The monster felt as if everything around him froze as he watched the blond irregular's body turn into a strange black hole .
"[Concept: Deny all Existences]" - Cloud muttered as he felt his mana disappear along with the sound of his words.
Slowly, his body fell to the ground unconscious as Yue watched all this in terror, though her expression changed drastically when she heard the monster's cry of desolation and fear, who slowly began to disappear, as if it was a mirage, in fact, she felt that the more she looked at the monster, the stranger it all felt.
"Why were the girls sleeping? Why was Cloud unconscious? What was that strange giant door in front of them? Why were they in a cave, and not in the final room of the labyrinth after finishing all the tests?"
Yue had many questions, but none had answers, it was as if a part of her memories had vanished without a trace.
