Oh, that brought a smile on my face.
The kind where my fangs grew, eyes reddened and face showed an expression so scary, any human could start screaming. But not a Catholic. Heck, even Janet broke into a sweat at my appearance.
"C-Can we come inside?" Janet whispered, her human confidence slightly chipping away with each second she stared at me. She couldn't take her eyes off, either.
"Tell me something, Draekon...do you know why your brother died?" I asked, the voice of my half-demonic form sending chills down their spine. I tapped into his head without him knowing.
He was chanting the Pslam 23:4, on repeat. Like a broken tape recorder. I chuckled.
"Fear no evil when he's with you, huh? Tell me...does he even exist? Did Draevon believe in the same?" I kept taunting. This human's belief in the other worldly One was appreciable. Magnificent, even.
