Chapter 79 - Evie joined the Group (EDITED)

Ren's eyes narrowed as he watched Evie fight.

She was alone—swinging her staff clumsily, dodging in panic, barely staying upright. Her white hair clung to her face, streaked with soot and sweat. The glow of lava illuminated her pale features like a dying ember in a sea of red.

He didn't know what happened—why she was here by herself—but one thing was clear. She was going to die.

A Blue Mage wasn't built for solo combat. Their early spell list was weak—supportive at best, decorative at worst. Unless she'd somehow bought [Water], she had no real offense, and against fire-type monsters, she might as well be throwing pebbles.

Ren's eyes flicked to her MP bar. Half gone already. Her movements were jerky, desperate. The only thing keeping her alive was the clinking rhythm of [Health Potions] breaking on her belt—her last lifeline between survival and death.

She's not going to last another minute, Ren thought.
