The Vampire nodded.
Nux stared at his father-in-law, somewhat disappointed.
"So our plan to spar against each other…"
[It will have to wait.]
Azriel answered with a shrug.
He wasn't foolish enough to believe that he could defeat an entity strong enough to overpower even the strongest Eternals without using the Authority the Universe gave him.
Nux sighed, it would seem like his dream to spar against his Father-in-law on equal footing would remain a dream.
Shadow, who saw Nux's sigh, sighed as well. She could pretty much see his thoughts on his face, after all, she knew how much he was looking forward to it all.
Of course, the woman also knew that not once did Nux consider this his 'victory'. He was definitely stronger than Azriel if he didn't use the powers the Universe gave him, so in some way, one could view this as a victory.
