Chapter 1 - *Esnor*

It has been billions of years since the creation of all things, and creation has remained in a state of peace. There have been many wars over the eons, some having been a deciding factor and some not so much. But things have certainly changed for the better; I would not say that yet.

For the past few millennia, creation has maintained peace and order. But now that order is about to be challenged because a dark and evil force is about to arise that will threaten the existence of the entire creation.

{Eternal Realm}

(Kingdom of Esnor)

Our story begins in the peaceful kingdom of Esnor, home to a race of Eternals known as Esnorians. The Esnorians command vast legions of soldiers and have conquered the entire Eternal realm under the single command of the Eldar Council and Eternal Emperor.

"What are you doing?", asked Luo Feng, with a wimpish curiosity.

"I am sorry, my lord, I did not see you", said Yin Jian, startled, holding a rather odd object.

"Ahh, I forgot we must get to the Eldar Chamber at once, something has happened", said Luo Feng, with a concerned look that made Yin Jian worry.

It was not normal for her to see him with that look of concern on his face.

"Yes, fifth Eldar", she said, obeying.

(Shēng Palace)

(Hall of the Eldar)

As Luo Feng and Yin Jian entered the Hall of the Eldar, they were debating amongst each other; it seemed the Eldar could not decide on a matter.

"We can't possibly let them just take planets as they choose", said one of the Eldar.

"There are rules and laws in place that have to be…", being interrupted by another Eldar.

"We must think before we act; if we do not make a wise decision, it could start a revolt in that section".

Eldar continued to argue and debate amongst themselves, with no end in sight, as the different perspectives and reasons seemed to make it impossible for them to agree at that point.

At that moment, as the Eldar Council was debating, a soldier stumbled into the hall, his armor dented, breath ragged, eyes wide with terror, "My lords, one of our planetary stations has just been attacked", he shouted, bringing the hall to complete silence.

"How can that be?" said Dong Zhu, the Eighth Eldar, in a bold voice yet unsure manner.

As the members of the Imperial Court were in shock, chattering to one another, the Eternal Emperor raised his hand, and the chatter stopped. He waved his hand through the air, gently releasing faint, small particles of energy.

A massive circle appeared on the ground in the middle of the hall, and the Imperial Court officials moved aside. The floor opened in the formation of a star, and out came a huge orb-like object, the Spirit Globe.

"The Spirit globe, interesting", said a court official, amazed.

"It is said to see everything, past, present, that the user wishes, but not the future", said Li Huan, an Imperial Minister, with a straight face and cold tone.

"Show us?" said the emperor, and the spirit globe showed the council what happened.

{Planetary station}

(Before Attack)

In a very secluded part of the Eternal Realm, on the planet of Vaekar, home to Vaekarians a race of peaceful, humanoid creatures, that peacefully submitted to the Eternals.

The planetary station is located on the west side of the planet, surrounded by massive mountains. In the command room of the planetary station a soldier noticed something.

"Commander", said one soldier, shocked with a look of panic.

"Yes, what is it?", asked the commander.

"Sir, something is disturbing our planetary signals; we can't communicate with headquarters", explained the soldier, very concerned.

"What the hell is that!" shouted a soldier.

A huge fog of black smoke was hurling towards the station, destroying anything in its path. The commander ordered everyone to get to their defence positions and attack this unknown enemy, but none of their weapons and firepower worked on the enemy.

"It looks like…. fall back, get out of here", shouted the commander, with sight of fear and sweat. It was as if he knew what was approaching them, he grabbed soldiers and pushed them away signaling to evacuate.

As every soldier was falling back, one of the soldiers, who was his second in command, wanted to stay and help, but he ordered him to leave and inform the Eldar.

"Go and warn the Eldar", he said out of breath, and he turned to face the creature who seemed unstoppable.

"Tell them 'Obsker' go now", said he with a look of fear, not only on his face but in his heart.

"Obsker, a creature of origin from the Monster Realm, that is considered a being of pure despair, consuming anything in its path, I am no match for it but there's no turning back", said he to himself, reminding himself of his decision.

As he stood before the creature, fear surged through him as the beast drew near, but he refused to yield. Glancing back at his retreating men, he smiled before turning to face the beast.

"For Esnor!".

(Eldar Chamber)

In hall feeling and sense of fear and uncertainty washed over the imperial court, and the Eldar on their throne remained composed.

"I rushed back here as fast as I could, your majesty, to inform you, many of the men that survived are gravely injured and are being treated for their wounds", said the soldier clinging to his shoulder as he lost his arm in his retreat trying to fend off the creature's attacks.

"Vaekar?" asked Arceus, the Twelfth Eldar, curiously.

The soldier turned in despair as he faced Arceus. Everyone in the room knew, and the soldier confirmed.

"It is lost"

Once again silence crept back over the hall, they knew the people of that world were wrong and the tragedy is unfair.

"Very well then, you may go and get treated for your injuries and your arm", said Qing Tian, the Empress with a look of warmth and gratefulness that made the soldier feel at ease.

A few guards escorted the soldier out of the hall.

"My lord, we must investigate this matter for all we know this could be his doing", said Li Huan, concerned before being interrupted by the Imperial Advisor.

"Minister Li, we must not jump to conclusions, but I agree we must investigate to put the matter to rest and not unnecessarily panic our citizens", said Xi Jin, the Imperial Advisor with presence of assurance, but a sense of hostility.

"Yes, seeing that the news was already leaked to the public", said Anwu, the Third Eldar, annoyed.

"That merely an oversight, my lord", responded Xi Jin, slightly and giving small nod to Anwu, which look to have irritated the Eldar.

"Oversight? Who's oversight? His majesty's?" asked Ren Ming, the Vice minister of Justice, a question that seemed to be directed at Xi Jin and his faction.

The Imperial Court continued to argue amongst each other, slightly ignoring court composure.

"How dare you! you're in the presence of his majesty, do not forget yourselves", said Zhuyuan, the First Prince with tone of anger, and the arguments stopped.

"Forget us, your majesty"

As they bowed.

 "Forget it"

Responded the emperor, dismissing the misconducted.

The emperor then ordered the matter to be investigated by Suizi, one of the seven warlords that was currently presence, and ended the Eldar Council meeting.

While the Eldars debated in shadows, life in Esnor went on as though peace were eternal and the people were safe.

(Training Grounds)

On the training grounds, a few fighters engaged in battle are training to improve their skills.

"Hey, cousin, you have grown strong in these past few days", said Zhinu (Crown Prince), a teenager 18 years of age, with a toned body figure, glad in silver battle armor.

"Yeah, I have been working on my cultivation and reading a lot of martial arts books from the legendarium", said Xinyu, a teenager 18 years of age, with slim build, wearing silk clothing with a head crown, as he tightens his grip on his sword.

He and the crown prince started to battle as the others looked on.

"You should watch your back and keep your guard up", said Xinyu as he instantly appeared behind the crown prince.

The crown prince turned around quickly to block the attack, but his attack was too powerful, knocking him back and sending the crown prince flying into a wall.

As the dust cleared, the rumble was visible. The prince then came out from the rumble as if nothing had happened, flying at Xinyu with great speed, their swords meeting each other in the middle of the training ground, each of them trying to overpower the other, but neither could overpower the other.

Qi radiating throughout the battle ground, and inner force clashing.

As the fight continued, it was being watched by Arceus, Xinyu's father, clothed in a white and blue colored silk hanfu and a head crown shining like a daylight star, sitting as he watched from the rooftop.

"What a wonderful place to watch children fight to see who's the strongest, just like we used to do", said his brother Zhi'an, a muscled figure that is clothed in black and gold colored silk robes with a gold head crown, the Eternal Emperor of the Eternal Realm, who appeared out of nowhere next to Arceus.

"You're not here to talk about how our children are stronger than one another", said Arceus, with a rather unpleasant look on his face, "Yes…", said Zhi'an, surprised, looking quite disturbed.

"So why are you here, Zhi'an? Is it about the incident that happened earlier?" asked Arceus, relaxed as if he already knew what was on his brother's mind.

"Yes, it is, never before has an Obsker or anything else come so close to a barrier point", said Zhi'an worryingly, looking into the distance, with a look of uneasiness.

"Yes, I know, and why all of a sudden now?", added Arceus curiously, looking at his brother.

"What are you trying to say?", asked Zhi'an, as he could see something on his brother's mind, trying to insinuate something. But Arcues did not reply and just continued to watch the children battle.

"That is why I sent Suizi to investigate it", responded Zhi'an, with a sense of confidence, but got no reaction from Arceus.

Zhi'an annoyed then flashed away after seeing the outcome of the match; Xinyu won. Arceus give a slight smile but it quickly turned into a look of concern.

(Eternal Palace)

Back at the palace, the warlord of the seventh fleet, Bai Xuanyu, a muscular figure, wearing a black and red colored hanfu, was looking at the spirit globe, watching what had happened earlier.

"Why did you attack now…", asked Bai Xuanyu with a look of unclear certainty as if he felt something was coming.

"Why are you still watching that over and over again? Nothing will come of it", said Arceus, entering the chamber.

"I know, but…", said Xuanyu before being interrupted by Arceus, "But nothing, how about this, forget about that and let's go eat something".

"I know I should not make a big fuss about it, but it's worrying", said Bai Xuanyu, uncertain but still let go of his thoughts and looked at Arceus.

"You're not supposed to be here", said Arceus sarcastic.

"I know, but this is concerning and it's not the only reason I am here", said Xuanyu, flirting with a smile.

"Yes, my beloved husband, you worry too much. How about this? If something were to happen or be worrisome, we will take it from there, but now, how about we get something to eat?", asked Arceus seductively smiling.

"I am really hungry", said he, rubbing his stomach and making Xuanyu laugh softly.

"How dare you laugh at my hunger?" asked Arceus, irritated, and flashed off. "Wait…", yelled Xuanyu, softly chasing after him.

(Royal Garden)

In the royal garden, the Eternal Empress, slender build, wearing white and gold royal hanfu, wearing the Imperial Phoenix head crown, was looking at some flowers.

"Look at how beautiful and peaceful you are, I wish everything could be like that", she said softly in a warm, soothing voice.

"Don't we all wish it could be like that…," said a mysterious voice.

Then out of the shadows of the Elden tree came a strange figure, wear black clothing and with a scar across his face, "Yes, we all wish that…", he said before being interrupted by the Empress, "What are you doing here? If anyone sees us together here, there will be chaos and hell to pay go leave now", she said anxiously, to which the person replied.

"Why must I leave? Why must I be scared to see my little sister?", he said with a smirk on his face, but she didn't believe him; it was as if she could feel the truth in his lies.

"Your sister, how can you still call me that after what you did? I know it was you who sent that Obsker to attack the planetary station", she said with certainty.

"Come on, sister, how can you think that of your brother to attack his own sister's kingdom?", he said sarcastically, but the Empress did not believe him and believed he was up to something.

"What were you looking for at that part of the barrier point?", she asked. "What barrier point? I did not know of any barrier point", he said, pretentiously confused.

As the Empress was about to ask him further, she could sense someone approaching them in the garden; both were shocked.

"You'd better go and not be up to something…", she said domineeringly, and he flashed off, before the one appeared and came into view.

It was Bor, one of the Eldar, a very huge figure with a rough appearance, and he looked serious as always.

"Who were you talking to?" he asked, but he said that with no feeling of interest, nor did he give off any feeling of curiosity.

"It was no one, just a little bird", said the Queen as she started to walk away, the feeling of uncertainty about whether he knew looming over her mind.

They then proceeded to walk away into the palace together. As they were walking inside, the Queen's brother looked on and then vanished.

At the training grounds, the children were done practicing, "That was great, I would have won had you not used that trick", said Zhinu as he was sheathing his sword, trying to minimize the weight of his loss.

"Really, cousin, you are going to use that trick now?", asked Xueying, a bright young girl, smiling and trying to sound stern as she joined them.

As they were walking, they saw another one of their friends, "Hey!", shouted Zhinu excitedly, and everyone around them looked at them.

Xueying placed her head in her hand with embarrassment, and Xinyu looked at him rather confused and disturbed, "Why must he always do that?", asked Xinyu, with an irritated voice.

The friend turned to them and smiled, and started walking toward them, when out of nowhere, someone bumped into him. The person almost fell over, but he caught them. As he got a closer look, he saw it was a girl. "I am so sorry", said she, shy and embarrassed.

It was Yin Jian, Lieutenant-General of the Fifth Eldar, "My lord, I didn't see where I was walking", said she, looking in his eyes but instantly looking away, and flashed off without saying anything further.

"What was that about?", he asked and looked to the ground and saw an object lying there, "Hey, you forgot…", he said, but she had already left.

"Hey, Wu'an, are you okay?", asked Xueying as they got closer to him.

"Yes, I am okay", answered he, confused.

"Was that Yin Jian?", asked Zhinu curiously.

"Yes, it was, but she dropped this", responded Wu'an, looking at the object.

"Why would she be walking around with a mirror?" asked Xinyu, uninterested. "I will give it to her later", said Wu'an as he transferred it to his storage treasure, a little bag, sachet that hang from his belt around his waist.

"Okay, cool, let's go grab something to drink", suggested Zhinu as he hooked Wu'an and Xinyu behind the neck in a playful manner, "We haven't drunk together in a while".

"Yes, fine", said Xinyu, and Zhinu cheered in joy, and Xueying joined him. They then flashed off.
