The notification flashed before my eyes, but I didn't need the system to tell me what I already knew. The fierce vampire warrior I had fought alongside for so long, was no longer just that. She was bound to me now, in a way far more profound, far more intimate. She was mine.

'High succubus?' I thought, frowning. That wasn't right.
Usually, when I bound mortals or lesser beings and made them my succubi, they would start off as Lesser succubi. A gradual evolution, a climb through power that took time and effort. But here she was, already elevated to High Succubus status from the outset. Rare—too rare for this to be mere coincidence.

"You're feeling it now, aren't you?" I said, my voice filled with dark amusement. The smirk on my face widened as I watched her struggle to gather herself. Her body was reacting to the contract in ways she probably hadn't anticipated, that burning desire I could feel coming off her in waves. "That hunger, that need…"
Her response wasn't verbal. Instead, she moved quickly. Before I could say another word, she pressed her lips to mine in a long, heated kiss, one filled with a desperation she had never shown before. I quickly adjusted, my hand reaching up to cup her face as I kissed her back, hard and possessive.
Her hands gripped my shoulders tightly, her nails digging into my skin as if she was trying to anchor herself to the moment. It wasn't just a kiss—it was a release, the emotions, the power, the need she couldn't quite put into words.
I could feel her shifting beneath me, her body moving with a hunger that matched my own. The contract's influence was already working its way through her system, amplifying her desires, reshaping her thoughts.
"I want more…" she whispered, her voice trembling slightly but filled with a new, raw intensity. Her eyes, glowing with the dark energy now coursing through her, locked onto mine.
Of course she wanted more. The succubus mark she bore demanded it, the energy inside her now amplifying every feeling, every sensation. I understood it perfectly—the need that gnawed at her from the inside, the way her body craved my touch and my power.
"I will give you more…" I whispered back, my voice low and filled with a dark promise.
I didn't know how many times we did it. It felt endless, and I didn't mind it in the least. There was no sense of time, only the primal drive between us. When the sun began to rise, we were both a mess—completely spent, yet not entirely worn out. My room, however, wasn't as lucky as the owner. The kitchen counter had become a place of passion, the sofa overturned, even the table had been used.
There was a moment when I considered the balcony, thought about the thrill of taking her out there under the moonlight, but I had no interest in making a scene or dealing with mortal eyes.
Answering stupid questions from humans wasn't part of my plan. So, instead, I took her somewhere outdoors with my portal skills. It was kind of random, but I ended up near the river in the previously burned forest.
I only managed to close my eyes for an hour, maybe less, before I woke up. My body should have been exhausted after everything, but instead, I felt refreshed. More than refreshed, actually, I felt clearer, sharper, my mind finally free from the fog that had clouded it for days.
The thoughts of Puriel and the dilemmas, all of it seemed so far away now. This was who I was, this was what I was meant to be. The Prince of Darkness, the ruler of those bound to me, both in battle and in body.
I glanced over at Red, her body sprawled beside me. She looked peaceful, for the first time in a long time. Her pale skin contrasted against the dark sheets, her breathing steady, though I knew her dreams were filled with the remnants of the night.
I sat up, running a hand through my hair as I surveyed the room. The chaos didn't bother me. But I had a routine to follow. I needed to get myself together.
But first, I had to clean up this mess.
I snapped my fingers, not even looking as the room responded to my will.
"Telekinesis," I muttered. Instantly, the furniture began to shift, the sheets lifting themselves from the floor, the sofa righting itself, pillows returning to their rightful places. The kitchen counter cleared itself, and even the overturned table stood upright again. Items that had been scattered in the heat of the night floated back into position as if an invisible hand was setting everything back to normal.
Red stirred slightly beside me, but she didn't wake. She needed the rest after what we'd been through. She would wake soon enough. But for now, I would let her sleep.
