Seven Sins System Chapter 488. The Kind Of Escape I Need
I leaned against the counter, rubbing the back of my neck as I let out a long exhale.
"Right…" I muttered to myself, thinking of all the things I had to deal with. "This weekend, I have an appointment with the twin vampires, and I have to attend Asmo's birthday."
I took mental notes, trying to prioritize everything. Of course, I had to deal with my sister too—there was no way Lily would let me off the hook easily. I could already imagine her glaring at me the moment I returned to the Shadow Realm, demanding that I make up for my absence.
And then there was Morgana, Asmo's sister. I couldn't forget her. She'd be at the party too, like always, unleashing her full-blown seduction on me. I could see it now—her sly smiles, her playful touches, and the way she always found an excuse to sit just a little too close or even on my lap. It wasn't that I couldn't handle her; it was just that she never gave up. Persistent didn't even begin to describe Morgana.
But regardless of all that, there was no way I was missing Asmo's party. His parties were legendary, chaotic, and exactly the kind of escape I needed every once in a while. It was one of the rare times I could hang out with the other lords of sin and actually have fun, without the burden of duty weighing me down.
"Okay…" I muttered to myself, standing up straight and stretching. "Red is on my side now. I guess I could skip a day or two if I end up with a hangover after the party."
The problem, though, was that Asmo's parties usually lasted for seven days. Seven insane days!
Unfortunately, I could only attend the first day most years because of how busy I was. It was the same with Luci, the only other lord who actually took his responsibilities seriously. Out of all seven of us, it was just me and Luci who were responsible enough to actually do our work. The rest? Well, they were a different story.
The one who was the worst? Without question, 'Sloth'. He was notorious for shirking his duties, lazing around, and generally being the least productive being in existence. Luci had nagged him so much that he'd almost blown up Sloth's bed a few times just to get him to move.
I chuckled, remembering the time Luci had forced Sloth to drink an enormous energy elixir that kept him awake for days. It was probably the first and only time I'd ever seen Sloth actually working. It had been hilarious, seeing the lazy devil so wired that he couldn't even sit still.
"Right, speaking of work…" I glanced at the clock on the wall. The morning was slipping away, and I had to get to the infirmary soon.
I grabbed another one of the cheesy breadsticks Red had left for me and popped it into my mouth. The taste was growing on me, and as I chewed, I decided to take the rest with me.
But before I left, I made a quick detour to the kitchen. As usual, I threw together a pair of sandwiches for Puriel. It had become something of a habit, even though I wasn't sure why I bothered half the time. Maybe it was because, despite her high-and-mighty attitude, she always appreciated the gesture. Or maybe it was just that I liked keeping the peace between us. Or maybe… because of the bandage roll. Today, I was feeling generous, so I threw in some extra cheese slices for good measure.
With the sandwiches made and the breadsticks packed, I headed to the bathroom to shower. The hot water helped clear my mind, and by the time I was out and dressed in my usual work clothes, complete with my white doctor's coat, I was ready to face the day as Dr. Allen.
The academy was already bustling with activity as I made my way to the infirmary. Students were scattered across the campus grounds, heading to their classes, or just hanging out in small groups. The chatter of mortal life filled the air, and for a moment, it was easy to forget that I wasn't one of them.
I arrived at the infirmary, pushing open the door with my free hand while balancing the bag of cheesy breadsticks in the other. The place was quiet, as usual, with no immediate emergencies to attend to. I tossed my bag onto the desk and sat down, stretching my legs out. It was shaping up to be a calm morning.
But that changed when Rachel and Evie entered the room. The two of them, with their usual shy smiles, greeted me like they always did. Rachel, with her bunny ears twitching playfully, and Evie, her nine tails swaying behind her, gave off their usual mischievous vibes. "Morning, doc."
"Morning, ladies," I said, leaning back in my chair. "Here to 'eat' again, huh?"
They both nodded with sheepish smiles, their eyes gleaming with the kind of hunger that had nothing to do with food.
"Well then," I said with a smirk, standing up. "Let's have a quickie, shall we?"
Without wasting time, I snapped my fingers, using Telekinesis to lock the door behind them. The lock clicked into place with a soft, final sound, ensuring that we wouldn't be interrupted. No one else would be barging in during this little 'break.'
I summoned my tentacles in full Lust Mode. They emerged from my back, twisting and writhing in the air. Rachel and Evie's eyes lit up at the sight, their lips curling into pleased grins.
This wasn't the first time, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. My tentacles had become a favorite for them. The succubus sigils I had placed on them made it even easier, there was no need for restraint. Their bodies responded immediately to my control, their hunger and desire feeding directly into my power.
