Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

"Just what is going on here…?" Velten thought while watching them from a distance. The old man Elvin was a well-known blacksmith in the city, since his family was the main source of equipment for all the sentinels for decades.

Velten knew him very well because his deceased father used to visit this workshop a lot in the past, and he would take Velten with him there pretty often.

Velten went to Elvin and asked him smiling "is there something wrong, old man Elvin?"

"Oh, you are Zephyr's son" Elvin replied. He was surprised to see Velten so early in the morning. "I'm just having some problems here with this guys, I'm sorry if I caused you any inconvenience"

"Nah, I was just passing by and I heard you talking to them," Velten said and then kept chatting with Elvin.

"Who is this guy? And why did old man Elvin's attitude change the moment he appeared" The man who was talking to Elvin thought with an irritated look on his face, as they were watching them talking.

"Excuse me, but can you not interfere with our conversation?" The man spoke with an enraged tone, trying to interrupt them.

Velten looked at him baffled and asked "and who are you again?"

"I'm Radu, the vice master of the Glory clan, and I was having an important conversation with old man Elvin, so can you please step out, kid"

"I already gave you my answer" Before Velten could say anything, Elvin looked at Radu with cold sharp eyes and said. His attitude completely changed again when he started talking with Radu again.

"I refuse to be that man's dog, and you are disrespecting an important guest of mine right now"

"Well, you heard him… The important conversation is now done, so you can step back now, right?" Velten looked at Radu and added.

Elvin then looked into Velten with a wide grin on his face, put his hand behind Velten, and said while leading him inside "Now, how about you come inside and drink some tea, I still want to talk to you more"

"I don't have anything to do today, so sure" Velten replied and followed his lead.

Annoyance and vexation were filling Radu's face while he watched them going inside. The anger started getting the best out of him as he thought "This is all because of that little jerk"

"I can't leave this place empty-handed" He smiled smugly and murmured under his breath. "Eric, take care of that kid" he spoke to one of his team members.

"As you wish" Eric nodded and pulled out two small daggers that he hid inside his cloak. Eric had a Mage-Assassin class, so his movement was fast and precise, especially when combined with some magic spells.

However, when he swung his hand to attack him, Velten crouched before the dagger could reach his neck. "Huh?! How did he dodge that" Eric thought to himself and he jumped back as he sensing danger from Velten.

"Even though I didn't use any magic spell, I'm sure my speed was more than enough to cut that kid's head," he thought while taking a defensive stance.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong with you buddy?" Velten straightened and asked Eric with a confused look on his face. He didn't understand why was he attacked although he didn't do anything to Eric.

"Why are you attacking me all of a sudden? Did I do something to you?" Velten added.

"This kid is definitely dangerous," Eric thought with a nervous look on his face. He didn't answer Velten and immediately dashed forward while creating fire bullets. He sent them on Velten who kept dodging them and tried to attack him with the daggers again. Waved his hand straight and tried to cut Velten's throat. Velten blocked him in time with his hand open and used the other to push him away with his strength.

Elvin was just watching them nervously since he was just a blacksmith and didn't have any experience in battle nor any good way to help Velten in this situation.

"Can you please stop? I'm not really in a mood to fight anyone" Velten remarked as he started to get annoyed.

"Shut up, because of you our mission failed and we're gonna be in big trouble" Radu spoke this time and held a long sword with both hands while getting ready to launch at Velten.

However, before he can move, a shirtless man with a long brown her and a light beard stepped in. "What is this fuss all about so early in the morning," He said while smoking and rubbing his head.
