"Quetzal! Are you okay?!"
Agua quickly flew to his side after noticing he had collapsed on a bunch of very sharp crystals. Any person weaker than him wouldn't have walked away without heavy injuries.
However, he seemed alright, with a few scratches here and there, but he wasn't even bleeding yet. He just looked annoyed.
"I'm alright, Agua. I suppose we were never going to get there without a fight, huh?" Quetzal wondered.
"Yeah… But what are those things?" Agua asked. "They're like nothing I've ever seen before! Some sort of weird monster…"
"Hmm… They clearly don't want me to get closer to that cube," Quetzal said, squinting his eyes.
"SHYAAGGH!"
The monsters started walking forward, their appearances becoming more noticeable in the eyes of Quetzal and Agua as they finally saw their true forms.
