"——Have you figured it out?"
Out of nowhere, Cui Que suddenly spoke from the side, "You're no longer confused, right?"
Russell blinked and looked over.
"When did you realize it?"
"When I left the church."
Cui Que chuckled lightly: "I felt there was something wrong with your mood right then... as if you were worried about something, or fearing something. I sensed your confusion, but since you didn't speak up, I couldn't help. Asking about it would have only caused you more pain.
"I've been confused before; I know the taste. Being incessantly questioned by others doesn't solve the turmoil inside, it merely keeps stirring up pain that could have remained superficial, turning it into a deeply red and sticky caramel-like substance."
As she spoke, she walked over. Russell reverted to his original body, and Cui Que took the opportunity to hug his head.
"If you have made up your mind, then I support you."
"You don't even ask what I plan to do?"
"Because I trust you."
