Spring season had began. Blanket of green plants and trees with chirping of birds, colorful flowers and clear sky had increases the beauty of city. Fragrance of nature can be smelled with a sharp blow of clean air. Basically, new sessions of schools starts during spring.
It was a first day of new class. Every student was busy in studies. Voices of delivering lectures can be heard from every class room.
TEN-TEN-TEN-TEN
(The school bell rings)
Hazel was running in a hurry in her school. She was in a hurry because she had an appointment with her childhood friend Leo. Suddenly, she hit with a young boy, wearing uniform similar to her, on the footpath while running.
"Ahh! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
Hazel said and ran away. That young boy stopped and saw her with his deadly stare.
CLAASSSSHHHHH!
Suddenly, a car hit Hazel when she was crossing the road without looking around. People gathers around her. Different voices can be heard:
"Oh my God!"
"Is she died?"
"Call the ambulance!"
"Let's stop her bleeding first"
"No...no....she is alive!"
Hazel's head was bleeding too much and her one leg was fractured. She was unconscious now.
That young boy looks the crowd on the road but he ignores it and keeps going towards his apartment.

(Ambulance voice)
EMS workers gave her inhaler and bring her into the ambulance. They try to stop her bleeding.

(Ambulance voice faded as it was going away)
Ambulance stopped in front of the hospital. EMS workers shifted her on the stretcher and nurses bring her inside the hospital. They bring her to the emergency ward.
"Her heartbeat and blood pressure is becoming slow", one of the nurse said. "She has lost a lot of blood", doctor's helper said. "Hurry up! Check her blood group and contact with blood bank", doctor said. A nurse took a drop of blood from her finger and went to the laboratory quickly. The doctor and his helpers try to normalize her condition, they almost succeeded in it. All they now need is blood to start her surgery.
After a few minutes, the nurse returns, "It's +A blood group, I contacted the blood bank, it will be here soon", the nurse said to the doctor. "Okay! Bring it here as soon as possible", the doctor ordered the nurse. "Yes Sir!", the nurse replied and leaves the room. Another nurse comes to the first nurse, "Here's the blood you asked me to bring", she said. "Thank you", first nurse said. She enters the room and hands it over to the doctor, then she leaves the room again.
A couple with a young boy entered the hospital, rushed towards the reception,
"Ma'am! Where's the patient Hazel?"
A young boy asked the receptionist. "Patient Hazel is in the emergency ward, she's undergoing a surgery. Are you the family of Hazel?", the receptionist asked. Meanwhile, Hazel's mom was sobbing,
"What? A s-surgery?JUST TELL US WHERE'S THE EMERGENCY WARD"
Hazel's mom shouted. "Calm down, Linda!", Hazel's father said while holding her shoulders.
(Hospital's staff known her identity from her school ID Card she had in her bag and in this way, someone contacted the latest number in her contact list, it was Leo. Then, Leo contacted her family)
"This way, uncle!"
Leo said and rushed towards that side. Hazel's parents followed him. There was really an emergency ward and a guard was sitting there.
"Excuse me, sir! What's going on inside?, "Leo asked that guard. "A little girl is being operated inside", the guard replied. "Are you the family of that girl?", the guard asked. "Yeah! We are the family of that girl. Is she alright?", Hazel's dad asked the guard. "Hmm....I don't know. I hope she is okay. The doctor will tell you when he'll come out", the guard replied in a polite manner. At that time, a nurse came outside the room.
"Nurse! Nurse! Is she alright?", Leo asked the nurse.
"Are you the family of that girl?", the nurse asked.
"Yes!", Leo replied.
Meanwhile, the doctor came out. "Sir! They are the family of the patient", the nurse told the doctor. "How's my daughter?", Hazel's dad asked the doctor. "She is unconscious right now, her leg has been fractured in the accident and due to the injury on her head, she has lost a lot of blood, but fortunately, she is alright now. Soon she'll get up", the doctor replied and went away.
(Hazel has shifted to the hospital room)
4th FLOOR
ROOM#29
Leo and Hazel's dad were sitting on the sofa. Hazel's mom was sitting on a chair near Hazel's bed, holding her hand. At last, Hazel wakes up. She opens her big brown eyes slowly.
"OH MY! HAZEL GOT UP", Hazel's mom shouted.
Leo and Hazel's dad moved towards Hazel. "How are you feeling?", Leo asked the Hazel.
"Why I'm here?", Hazel asked.
"YOU LITTLE JERK! I TOLD YOU, NOT RUN ON THE ROAD BUT YOU...OMG! YOU ARE RUNNING LIKE AN IDIOT.....AND-"
"Calm down, Linda! Our Hazel is not in a condition for listening your ni-"
"YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH, GRAYSON! IT ALL HAPPENS DUE TO YOU. YOU ALWAYS STOP ME WHEN I TRY TO FORBIDDEN HER"
Hazel's mom scolded Hazel's father by cutting off his opinion.
"Uncle! Aunt! Let's stop here! Uncle! Let's buy medicines for Hazel", Leo said politely.
"Okay fine! Let's go!", Hazel's dad replied and they both went away.
(NIGHT)
A nurse gave Hazel an injection and went away. It was 12:00 AM. Everyone was sleeping. It was completely silence as there is no one in the hospital. Sometimes, little noises of people and foot steps of people were heard but mostly, there were noises of different insects spread all over.
Hazel woke up at 12:30 PM. She sit suddenly. Her face was covered with her hair. Her mom also woke up while watching her sitting.
"What's wrong? Hazel", her mom asked.
(Heavy breathing)
"I'm thirsty...hhhh!"
Hazel replied with heavy breathing.
Her mom picked up the jug but there was not water in the jug.
"Hazel! Wait here! I'll bring water for you", her mom said and left the room.
Her mom was filling up water from the water cooler in the jug, suddenly, a scream of a girl was heard.
(Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh)
Most of the people got up at once. Security guards ran towards the place where that scream came from, but they did not locate the exact location of scream in a huge hospital. They contacted the staff sitting in the control room of security cameras, the staff told them to go to the stairs of 4th floor. Security guards along with some hospital staff reached there. What exactly they saw???
A nurse lying on the step of staircase covered with a lot of blood. Everyone get shocked and scared. Who exactly done that?
Hazel was sitting on his bed. She felt something wet on her hands. As there was darkness in the room only a dim light from the outside of room and the light of moon was coming inside. She, with the help of a crutch, went towards the bathroom, turned on its bulb and entered into it. Then, she locked the door of the bathroom from inside. She turned towards the mirror. Suddenly, she got startled.
"B-blood!" (Heavy breathing) "Is it really blood?", she asked herself.
There was a lot of blood on her hands and around her lips. She was too much scared.
"If it's my blood then where was I hurt?", she checked her bandage on her forehead but there was not really blood then she checked her leg, that's bandage was also wet.
"What should I do? What should I do?", She asked herself.
She washed her hands and mouth. At that time, her mom entered the room. She looked her empty bed and turned on the lights. "Hazel!", she called. Hazel came outside of bathroom.
"Oh my! Are you okay?", Hazel's mom asked.
"Yes mom!", Hazel replied.
"Didn't you get scared?", Hazel's mom asked.
"Scared of...what?", Hazel asked confusedly.
"Never mind!", Hazel's mom replied.
"Tell me, mom! You are making me scared", Hazel asked fearfully.
"Didn't you hear a scream?", Hazel's mom asked.
"What scream?", Hazel's asked with shocked eyes.
"Oh my! I don't know why didn't you hear that scream. It happens near your room. A nurse umm.....never mind! I don't want to scare you. Here! Drink water", Hazel's mom said and poured water into a glass.
Hazel thinks, what mom is hiding from me.
"Take it, Hazel", her mom said.
Hazel took that glass and placed it on the table that was near her bed. She kept thinking that what's going on. She try to remind that where that blood comes from, the most importantly, whose blood was that. Her mom was sleeping on a separate bed in her room but she can't stop thinking about those strange things.
"I can smell your blood"
