Chapter 4 - First Stop, The Museum

Placing the letter on the table beside him, Henry then opened the door, not forgetting his keys and wallet, which surprisingly had everything in it.

Pulling out his ID and license, they both had everything as normal as they should be, but the names of the places he was born and issued them in were different; Manehatten.

"This name too seems familiar, but I won't solve everything by standing here." Shaking his head walked out of his house, not forgetting to lock it of course.

The outside was bright and sunny, the air was still clear and fresh. From the elevated position of his house, he could see the mountains in the distance that seemed to surround the city or town that he was in, he was fascinated at the sheer beauty of this place, instantly falling in love with it.

His house seemed to be a little far from the main district, as he could smell the fresh scent of the woods that was being blown from the back of his house.

Looking at his house he was not surprised that it was the same one that he lived in. It was a three-story building that was beige in color with a little garden in front, a garage, and a large backyard. It was beautiful as well as big, but this was his home still no matter which dimension or universe he was in.

Walking towards the garage, he opened it and walked in with great familiarity as he looked at the various vehicles parked in it. The brands were very different, but they were still the same vehicles. He had one of each from a van, sport, luxury, muscle, convertible, limo, motorcycle, and a bicycle.

Looking at his large garage for a moment, he mentally mused that it seemed more like a vehicle exhibition than a garage, then he wondered which vehicle would let him see the city or town that he was in at a leisurely pace and taking in all the sights.

He even considered walking, with his new strength it was very simple for him, as he would not get tired that easily at all.

"This is nonsense, I'll just take my bicycle and be over with it." He grabbed his black and red bicycle that was close to the garage door and didn't bother with his helmet, as he felt that he will be okay.

He closed the gate of the garage and yard gate, and parked in front of his yard as he first pulled out the phone, he needed information.

Going into the internet he searched for the interesting places to see in Canterlot City, which was the name of his new place apparently as the search engine brought that up, also indicating that he was in a city and not a town.

The search results came quickly, allowing Henry to see the places that were pretty famous.

"So there is the Canterlot Mall, The Amphitheater, The Canterlot Natural History Museum, The Observatory, The Animal Rescue Center, and Equestria Land..." Henry slurred slightly in speech as he read the name of the last place.

It hit him like a train about where he was now, making him pause a little at this discovery as he now knew where he was.

The name Equestria was the name of the kingdom of magical talking equine such as; Pony, Unicorn, and Pegasus, as well as the mixture of all three they called Alicorn, among other mythical and magical creatures.

Now, this was all from a show in his past world, he knew all this because one of his friends loved the show and he always called himself a brony.

"So this means, am in the alternate version of the cartoon show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Equestria Girls? Were the ponies and unicorns are their human counterparts, hmm? Interesting as I never watched the show before. I have only watched the original franchise Friendship is Magic until the 2nd season anyway and found this world only a little online back then due to Marshal being a crazy brony that always bragged about his pony waifus when we would hang."

"All I know about this world is that there are human versions of the animal versions of the FiM series and they have exotic colored skins, but that isn't the same now." He looked at his phone as he saw pictures of people. They just had the same color of skin as humans did from his all world, but had strange and various colored hair.

"Shame, I actually wanted to see that, but this is not a cartoon world now too. Though, I am only aware of the first movie's plot about the crown being stolen and brought into this world, the ones that follow, I am actually in the dark. But that is interesting, going in without knowing and then throwing the entire plot into disarray!" Chuckling at how interesting this world seemed to have become.

"Well, now that the world's identity has been discovered, it is time for some sightseeing!" Henry got on his bicycle as he mentally planned the first place to visit.

The results of the search also gave a map of the positions of each place. And the Museum was closest to where he was living.

Cycling along the road, he finally saw people moving in their daily lives happily and also confirmed that they didn't have colorful skin like what he saw during his searches online back then. They either had, light yellow, white or dark complexions. But the hair was colorful and bright as the show depicted.

'This can only mean that am in an AU of Equestria Girls, this means a lot of things are going to be different from the plot. Not that I care either.' He added as he carried on towards his destination, soon enough he saw that there were fewer and fewer domestic buildings as he got closer to the museum.

And finally, he reached it, it was a large building, with brown-red walls and a large saddle-shaped roof. With large decorated words that indicated the name of this building;

The Canterlot Natural History Museum.

Passing by the toll booth to pay his fee which was surprisingly not that expensive, he parked his bicycle at a convenient place for bicycles and locked it, with that he entered the building that is his first-ever stop in this world.

What could happen in a place full of long-dead plants and animals? Nothing interesting other than knowledge, right?

First, he came face to face with an exhibit of a volcano nearby it, were a couple of what seemed like T-Rex skeletons were. There were a few guests and tourists here and there taking pictures and listening to the tour guides.

Looking around the first chose a section to just explore by himself, he had gone to a museum in his past world before, but he wondered if there might be a few interesting finds in this place that could not be available in his old ones.

Looking at the displayed items on the walls and display cases, Henry browsed lightly through them at his own pace along with a few visitors of this section which was the one with plants, seeing nothing of much interest he took a few pictures of a few ancient plants and moved towards the next section of exhibits.

Since this was a natural history museum it had collections of current and historical records of animals, plants, fungi, geology, paleontology, climatology, and more. One more thing he discovered was the name of the planet he was on, which strangely turned out to be earth as well.

"Guess there is no denying that there are parallel Earths, huh?" He muttered as he moved towards the geology section there he found a small crowd of tourists that listened to their tour guide as they spoke about the displays and items.

Though he couldn't see her yet, he could pick up a calm and monotonous feminine voice of hers from way behind where he was.

Focusing his senses to listen to her lecture he suddenly discovered that his senses also picked up a variety of emotions from the crowd in a form of scents that they gave off.

Some gave off scents of slight interest and excitement, making Henry lift a single eyebrow at this, but when he thought that they had paid money to be here they would indeed show such emotion even if the guide sounded almost like a robot.

Focusing on the guide, he picked up emotions of peacefulness and calmness from the guide. Not boredom like her voice indicated, making one believe she hated her job, no it seemed as if she liked her work and was at peace.

'What an interesting specimen, would like to find out more about her. Oh seems like I can do that.' He soon cut off his senses as he heard her dismiss the group.

"Well, that is all for the tour, hope you all had a great time. Exit is that way if you want to leave, or you can look around if you want." She said monotonously and as bluntly as she could, the crowd didn't stay and dispersed.

Henry walked closer as the other people began to move away, he wanted to see this person, for reasons that first it is the first time he had ever seen a person speak and behave like that and the other was her lovely scent and he wanted to see her.
