Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Hired Boyfriend

Bosen Mansion Club.

Charlotte Allison looked at the young man quietly standing by the window, dressed in the club's service staff uniform.

The young man's features were incredibly handsome.

Bright eyes and white teeth, full of vitality.

Within his clean and bright demeanor, there was a hint of indifference and clarity from being tainted by the world.

He was the kind of young man who looked at the spring breeze without joy, at the summer cicadas without annoyance, at the autumn winds without sadness, at the winter snow without sighs, indifferent to the splendor and wealth around him.

As she looked at him, he slightly lowered his head, bewildered, with his eyebrows lowered, and the soft, wavy fringes slightly trembling, making him appear exceedingly docile.

Like a little puppy waiting for affection.

Standing in front of her, he looked even more handsome and clean than the one-inch photo on the student ID she saw in her past life.

Thinking of how in her past life she was framed, leaving chaos with him that night, only for him to vanish without a trace, leaving behind just a student ID. When she sought him out later, she was informed he had quit school, and later Hazel Allison told her he had died.

They didn't spare him either, even though he was inadvertently dragged into it.

Charlotte Allison's fingertips tightened slightly; she felt the urge to smoke.

"Your name is Lucas Quinn," Charlotte Allison took out a cigarette and noticed that when she spoke his name, he looked up at her in astonishment.

After their eyes met, he quickly lowered his head again, nodding lightly: "Yes."

At the club, all employees worked under aliases; even the club manager wouldn't bother to learn their real names on purpose.

So when someone he had never met called out his real name, a deep shadow passed through Lucas Quinn's restrained eyes.

Charlotte Allison spoke slowly, "My name is Charlotte Allison, manager at the Allison Corporation. I have a transaction I want to discuss with you."

"What?" he asked.

"I need someone to play the role of my boyfriend, and you are very suitable. So now I'm inviting you, hiring you to be my boyfriend, and you can set the salary."

Official and serious, with a hint of domineering confidence!

But this transaction of being a boyfriend...

Would the CEO of Allison Corporation, with admirers that could circle the earth twice, lack a boyfriend?

Lucas Quinn looked up at Charlotte Allison in surprise, carrying a hint of youthful spirit as he asked, "Why me?"

As he spoke, he was lightly choked by the cigarette smoke, causing him to cough softly a few times, his complexion paling.

Seeing his discomfort with the smoke, Charlotte Allison extinguished the cigarette, saying, "I have money, and you need money."

According to the information she had found, Lucas Quinn's parents divorced. He was fostered at his aunt's home, where he wasn't welcomed. His tuition and living expenses relied solely on scholarships and part-time jobs. His aunt was forcing him to come up with a hundred thousand to repay the years she supported him because her son was getting married.

So he came to work at Bosen Mansion for that sum of money.

Her explanation was straightforward, spoken in a calm and gentle tone without any hint of mockery or disdain, making it clear she was serious.

Lucas Quinn was silent for a while, thinking that he indeed needed money, then softly replied, "Okay."

After smoothly adding her on WeChat, Charlotte Allison sent him a file, "This is the employment agreement. Look at the work scope, duties, and considerations. Let me know if you have any questions."

Lucas Quinn was surprised, briefly scanning it. The agreement was private but very formal, with clear boundaries even for the extent of their interactions.

"No problem."

"Can you start working right now?"

"I can."

Charlotte Allison stood up and took him out.

Watching her figure recede, a very faint smile emerged in Lucas Quinn's eyes.

Allison Corporation, Charlotte Allison...

The club manager, watching Charlotte Allison take the person away, was still recalling when the person was hired, as he had no impression, when he saw the club administrator hurriedly arrive.

The administrator pointed to where Lucas Quinn had just been standing by the window, asking him, "Did you see the person who was just standing here?"

Club Manager: ?

Isn't that the person Mr. Allison just took away?

So the administrator was the one who brought him in?

The club manager explained to him.

Hearing that Lucas Quinn voluntarily went with Charlotte Allison, the administrator's expression became extremely complex.
