When Charlotte Allison woke up, it was already past four in the afternoon.
The person beside her had already left at some unknown time.
She picked up her phone from the bedside table, unlocked it, and found over a dozen unread messages.
Eason Chalmers had sent a message around eight in the morning, first asking where she was, and how come she was missing during breakfast.
Then he asked if she was returning to Kingstown today.
After that, he said he left the ship with Allen Sheldon on a helicopter and was heading back to Kingstown.
The final message was: [Charlotte, are you... are you still alive? I've already returned to Kingstown, my dad's asking about you, how should I respond?]
Charlotte Allison replied: [Yeah, tell Mr. Chalmers I'm still alive.]
Eason quickly replied, saying that all the guests who attended the evening banquet had left in the morning, and asked when Charlotte would return, as Mr. Chalmers wanted her to come home for dinner.
