He could already foresee what his rigid and stubborn grandfather would send as the third, fourth, and fifth gifts.
When Charlotte Allison unwrapped the third set of jade jewelry, Lucas laughed and repeated like a broken record, "This set looks good on you too."
Charlotte continued unwrapping. The fourth gift was a set of jewelry predominantly black jade with silver accents.
Just as she was about to unwrap the fifth set, Lucas scooped her up by the waist and carried her away.
