The residents were a middle-aged couple walking a Burne Mountain dog. When Lucas Quinn explained, they smiled at the two and couldn't help chatting for a bit.
Upon learning that the two were staying with the Hughes couple, they invited them to visit their home the next day along with the Hughes.
The couple gladly accepted.
After saying goodbye, Charlotte Allison received a look from the residents as if saying, "Having such a boyfriend is truly a blessing."
Of course, Lucas noticed that gaze too, suppressing a laugh until they were out of earshot from the couple.
"Sis, look, you're being envied again. It shows how great your choice in boyfriends is."
"Mr. Quinn, you're really 'two-faced'," Charlotte said indignantly, as she playfully bit his chin, leaving a faint teeth mark.
Her emotions these days easily fluctuated because of him; this man was clearly provoking her on purpose.
