Polly Sutton stood at the door for a while before going back. Her room was already tidied up by Mrs. Lewis long ago. The question of whether Mr. and Mrs. Lewis should stay or leave was also an issue. Both were honest and simple people, and Polly Sutton intended to let them go to City A with her so they could help take care of the two kids.
However, this matter needed to be discussed with Victor Parker. Polly Sutton glanced outside. Victor was still on the phone. Never mind, talk about it tomorrow.
Victor Parker spent over an hour on that call. The factory indeed had problems, and significant ones at that. The issue at Backflow Cove was worse than he imagined.
Victor Parker returned to the room; Polly Sutton was already asleep.
He set down his phone and walked to the bedside. Polly Sutton faced the wall, her back to Victor Parker.
