"Only three hours to go…. You think Whitebeard has shown up yet?"
"You really think he will appear?"
In East Blue;
"I mean, even Whitebeard must be getting pretty old these days."
"Yeah.. He hasn't made any kind of big news for years now."
"Whitebeard's old news these days, surely? Like hell Marine HQ could lose to him."
"Win or lose… There are sure to be many deaths."
"We should just pray he fails to appear at all. If the execution goes ahead. That's best for everyone."
North Blue;
"Whoa! Woah! Pops, I need my drink."
"You're telling me to do business in a day like this? Away with you!"
"If there's still. A world to open it in tomorrow, we'll open the shop then!"
"Please, you've got to sell me some drink at least. I can't take this without it."
West Blue;
"Don't think of him as just some old guy. He hasn't weakened one bit… Why, just a year ago…"
"Just seeing him sitting there doing nothing was enough to make every last one of us give up on our lives."
A drunk pirate spoke.
In the Grandline;
"Even the children know it… Listen to them sing as they skip that rope… Old Pirate Whitebeard! Scarier than demons!"
"O God above… What is to become of this world?"
On the isle of Marineford, where Marine Headquarters resided, lies a large city, primarily inhabited by the families of Marine Soldiers.
Currently, all residents have been recommended to evacuate.
And, so via monitors on nearby Sabody Archipelago, the people stood and watched as the public execution came closer.
Reporters and cameramen from far and wide gathered here, ready to deliver the breaking news to the world as efficiently as possible.
"Hey- check it out! Ace has appeared!"
The ships are sent forth by the marines one by one, and one by one, they are sunk.
There had yet to be a confirmed sighting of Whitebeard, and tension in Marineford was on the rise as the time remaining until the execution passes the three-hour mark.
Grandline Line Marineford; Marine Headquarters;
"Do not let your guard down! No matter what happens, in three hours, this will be all over."
As the famed marine soldiers gathered around one hundred thousand elite troops in all awaited the battle that lay before them.
Surrounding the crescent bay and the island as a whole stood fifty Marine Vessels.
Among the coast stood countless heavy cannons, and visible upon the coast at the very fore of the Marine troops stood five twisted pirates who may have determined the outcome of this battle.
The Royal Shichibukai!
Meanwhile, at the very rear of the plaza, upon the towering execution platform itself, the central figure of this conflict, the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Portgas D Ace, awaited his fate.
And, watching sternly over him stood Marine Headquarters' greatest military force.
Three Marine Admirals!
All the forces of Justice Imaginable at this moment in time awaited the arrival of the Whitebeard Pirates, ready to prevent the retrieval of Ace.
Fifteen Minutes Ago; Calm Belt;
Bon Clay ran to the back of the ship, where several strikes of red and black lightning sparkled all around.
He forced himself to keep his eyes open. Upon reaching the back, he shouted.
"Straw Chan, we have reached the Gates of Justice."
Suddenly, those red and black lightning bolts burst into sparks as Luffy disappeared from the boat and appeared next to Bon Clay.
A strong red light appeared in his eyes as Luffy muttered.
"Ace, I'm coming for you."
Marineford;
"Garp, I'm going to tell them everything." Sengoku looked at Garp and said.
"We've discussed this before. Do as you like. I'll be down below."
Garp said as he walked away.
Sengoku walked next to Ace and said.
"Move aside a moment, men!"
"Yes, sir!"
The Marines walked back.
"Den-Den Mushi!"
Sengoku asked and got a transponder snail. As he held it, he started speaking.
"Men, I have something crucial to tell you all. Something about the true meaning of Portgas D Ace, meeting his end here today!"
At this moment, the reactions of the Marines were intense while Tsuru turned toward Garp and said.
"The sin rests not with you…."
Garp simply laughed.
"Bwahahaha! You can get awfully kind sometimes, can't you, Tsuru-chan!"
At this moment, Sengoku asked.
"Ace, tell me the name of your father!"
Ace frowned and said.
"My father is Whitebeard!"
"He is not!!" Sengoku spoke.
"Yes, he is. Whitebeard is my only father. I have no other!!!" Ace roared.
"Back then, we searched as though our lives depended on it. Searching for the possibility that there existed on that island a child of that man."
"Based on nothing but the tiniest of leads from Cipher Pol, we investigated all newborn children, all children who were yet to be born, and all of their mothers."
"But ultimately found nothing. Or so we thought, but out of pure obstinacy, your mother had risked her life to perform a certain trick concerning your birth."
"And, it was this trick that deceived our eyes, no, the eyes of the world! In the south blue, there lies an island by the name of Baterilla. Your mother's name was Portgas D Rouge."
"She performed a feat that we could never have hoped to imagine and out of devotion to her child, bore him in her womb for a full twenty months."
"And when the birth finally came, her strength all but spent, she left this world as you entered it."
"One year and three months from the father's death, a child was born bearing the most accrued blood to be found in this world. That child is you."
"Do not claim you are not aware! Your father is none other than Pirate King Gold Roger!!!"
At this moment, Marines were shocked. Ordinary citizens to pirates, ordinary shopkeepers to reporters, everyone was stunned by this news.
But Sengoku didn't stop.
"Two years ago, it was choosing to take your mother's name. You had risen with frightening speed and remarkable power to notability as Captain of the Spade Pirates."
"It was then that we finally realized that Roger's blood still lived on. But Whitebeard, who came to the same realization just as we did, chose to take in the son of his old rival into his ship."
"That he might raise him to be the next pirate king."
At this moment, Ace roared.
"No, I joined his crew so that I could make him the Pirate King."
"You are the only one who believes that. We were unable to lay a finger on you from that moment forth. You were being protected by Whitebeard himself!"
"And, if we were to allow you to roam free for long enough, you would be sure, slowly but surely, to obtain the necessary caliber to stand at the summit of the New Era of Piracy!"
"That is why it is absolutely imperative that we take your head here today!"
"Even if that means going to war against Whitebeard himself!"
Sengoku roared.
At this moment, Luffy turned toward Jinbe and asked.
"Do you know who opened the Gates of Justice?"
Jinbe shook his head.
"It must be someone from Whitebeard Pirates. After all, they need their whole force if they want to fight Marine HQ."
Crocodile replied.
"Straw Hat, look!"
Buggy shouted as he pointed at dozens of ships ahead of them.
They had caught up with the Whitebeard Pirates, and it was exactly the moment the Whitebeard Pirates entered the war.
At this moment, Luffy turned toward the people on the ship and said.
"Tell the Whitebeard pirates about our alliance. Crocodile, I hope you don't make a mistake here."
He especially reminded Crocodile since he had a hatred against the Whitebeard Pirates.
"Humph! I know."
Crocodile snorted.
"Don't worry, Luffy! I will talk to the Whitebeard Pirates."
Jinbe patted his chest and spoke.
"But what about you? What are you going to do now?" Ivankov asked curiously.
Luffy held his Straw Hat and said.
"I'm gonna meet with Whitebeard."
At this moment, in the middle of Marineford, the sea started bubbling up. The marines started talking when a large shadow appeared beneath the surface of the sea.
And from that part of the sea, four ships emerged.
The main ship faced the Marineford, especially the execution platform.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
At this moment, a tall man holding a large bisento, with a large white mustache and a bandana on his head, walked to the deck of his ship.
"Gurararara! How many decades has it been, Sengoku?"
"My Beloved Son had better be safe and sound!"
At this moment, those with powerful Observation, especially Hawkeye narrowed their eyes.
Even Whitebeard took a second to realize a figure standing next to him, looking tiny but holding too big of power within him.
Lifting his Straw Hat a little, he waved at Whitebeard and said.
"Yo, Whitebeard! My name is Monkey D Luffy."
"And, I'm here to save my Brother Ace."
