Too close.
Closer than ever before.
Lucy Ansley awkwardly wanted to pull back to create some distance, but a man's deep reminder came above her head, "Don't move."
She wasn't sure how her hair and the tree branch had gotten so tangled.
Time silently passed by, making Lucy Ansley feel interminably long.
She focused her mind, trying to find something else to divert her attention.
In the end, she failed to distract herself.
Her senses were filled with the presence of Dr. Ronan, making it difficult for her to even turn her head, almost leaving her nowhere to escape.
Lucy Ansley pursed her lips and simply closed her eyes, hoping to find peace.
Then, above her, Dr. Ronan's rich voice sounded again, "Lower your head."
Lucy Ansley obediently followed, and the next second, her forehead was pressed against the man's shirt under his neck.
Lucy Ansley: "..."
This position made her ears turn red, and her body tensed with nervous rigidity.
