The man's steps paused slightly. He looked down at Lucy with a serious expression, his gaze hiding interest deep inside, "If I were angry, what would you do?"

"Apologize first." Lucy pressed her lips together, exceptionally serious, "Then persuade you."

Her thought process was simple, if Henry gets upset over that insignificant person just now, then she'd apologize and comfort him—both approaches would definitely cheer him up.

The man's lips curled into a vivid and captivating smile as he leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Then save it for later, next time there's an opportunity to soothe me."

Lucy's ears inexplicably turned red.

Not knowing whether it was the warmth of his words, or because he subtly kissed her earlobe, making her shy.
